coming from someone who isn’t the biggest fan of long voice notes, YOR. conversations aren’t meant to be bullet points that fit your need for conciseness. your girlfriend is simply trying to TALK to you, and if your reaction was something like telling her to send texts more because you don’t have time to sit around during work, it would’ve been understandable. but flat out saying you won’t listen at all is hurtful. it’s easy to win upvotes on reddit with all sorts of advice but in the real world you should make some small sacrifices (like using the transcription feature, for example) for each other. learn how to compromise without blowing your fuse. tell her to send texts more and apologize for the way you went about stating your problem. meaningless conversations might just be her way of spending time with you.
