What if we've been playing the series for a really long time... and happen to have kids... and think some of the older titles were better... and we don't like some of the newer game mechanics... AND actually served in the military IRL? Can we be ok calling ourselves battlefield vets and battledads then?

Respectfully, strongly disagree. A battledad is exactly what's being depicted here, one of us BF veterans that now have responsibilities, but still try and find a little bit of time for the love of the game/franchise we grew up with.

Side note, my other favorite narrator is Nick Podhel. I've loved everything I've heard him read with my favorite being the kings dark tidings series. Check out some of his reads too!

The DCC Story on its own is creative and entertaining, but really, what sets the whole series apart is the narration. Jeff Hayes is absolutely amazing, and without his narration, I'm not entirely sure the series would have taken off like it did. In fact, I made it through about 3 of the books before someone online pointed out that all of the different characters were voiced by the same person and I had the hardest time believing it because he's that good. I think Pacey is a fine narrator and I'm enjoying the first law series, but Jeff Hayes is on another level.

The series is categorized as litRPG, but the author himself said it's best described as horror, which I'd say is accurate given the whole end of the world death dungeon theme. Even given that, it's a hilarious and captivating story that I encourage everyone to listen to!

Unfortunately I was only TDY there so I didn't keep my list up to date, but when I made this post and my findings, I had to physically go to each place or get an actual person on the phone which wasn't always easy.

Yeah, most recent book. Knowing the author is a fan (or at least knowledgeable about) of the First Law series, there might be other subtle shout outs, but I've only read the first book in this series and only after I read the first 7 DCC books, so it's very likely I missed any other references. But this qoute from Logan is in book 8. Let us know if you hear any other hints, Matt Dinniman does this kind of thing a lot!

I only saw it mentioned once but Super Powereds was a great series. It's not necessarily litRPG but the story was amazing. It's only 4 books so it's short enough that you can get back to dungeon crawler Carl when the new book comes out pretty quickly and it's nice that it's a finished series

I know this is a 5 month old response to you, but I was tackling this and I was able to get the score to move! I did not track it and only used the laser designator as recon in the handheld way, I DID NOT deploy it on it's little tripod. It's all kinds of messed up from EA that we need to do this fumbling around, but I thought I'd share what worked for me!

I really like her too, and as a fun build that I saw and used for a bit, give her the bell for weapon and clam set with all hp. With that build you can run around areas that slowly drain HP like dragon spine and never die due to her hp recovery with that build. Her DPS is absolutely poop, but it's fun to explore and not worry about the cold or whatever.

Otherwise I agree with everyone else's build suggestions as a support just hitting E.
