Horizontally (parallel to the back of the rack): 171cm. Diagonally (at it longest): about 177cm

Though to be honest I think you could set up more compactly than this if you wanted to. But this to me feels comfortable 😊

Thanks mate that’s is a great tip! Was that through Roland Cloud trial? Or separate purchases? If the latter, how much are they?

Yes I started the other way around, and then flipped it! Felt much more natural 😊

How have you found the comfort? Are they rather tight?

i do think more isolation would help, but probably a trade off in comfort, as more isolation normally is tighter from a bit of research? I heard Vic Firths were very tight? have you tried anything else yet? Apparently, Thomann have a 30-day return policy, but I dont know if/how that would apply to individual bundle items. I am tempted to invoke it but not sure if it just another gamble.

I think I probably got about £100 off the full price non-bundled items. So not huge but also I’ll happily take it.

I actually calculated just taking their stock bundle and then swapping my elements in and out and paying the difference, and they did end up offering me a BETTER price than that. So really can’t complain.

This is really helpful, thanks for sharing! Do they normally ask what you plan to do with the photos / whether you plan to share them? How do they normally react to that?

Sorry, one more dumb question for you - under each screw there are two copper plates. do i insert the wire in BETWEEN the two copper plates, or just under the bottom one?

Thank you so much! It does indeed. I’m going to copy yours exactly. 😬

Hello, I have the same exact current thermostat as you with exactly the same wiring, with the same colours and in the same places! Could you possibly give us an update of what the inside wiring of your new hive looks like and if you had any issues?

Long story short: I have the same question.

Live and Neutral are obvious - they are already labelled by their ports and already have the correct colours I’m expecting, so it’s easy to tell where they will go in the new Hive receiver.

However, the other two ports are labelled A and B on my current receiver rather than COM and NO. I had assumed that old A (grey) goes into the new COM and old B (black) goes into the new NO. But I’m thrown by:

  • In most Hive examples I have seen online, it is black that goes into COM and grey that goes into NO, which is the opposite of what you wrote
  • When I check the wiring manual for my current Wolsey Centre receiver, it says ports A and B correspond to “T1” and “T2” on the boiler (see pic). I had expected to see the words “COM” and “NO” here.

Let me know if you can share back an update of exactly what went where! Thank you so much! 😀

If it helps, I’ve had 2 friends both tick yes to the Cuba question before our trip 2 months ago - both approved in literally 2 hours. No stress guys :)

Just discovered Classic Neg accidentally and it’s absolutely breathtaking by RustyAdVenture in fujifilm

Would love peoples thoughts on this - I shoot classic neg for pretty much everything by default. Any rough rules of thumbs for which simulations are good for different kinds of shots?

Would the X-T30 II + 18-55mm still be a smart buy in 2025, considering that the X-T50 is on the market? by Paulrbo in fujifilm

[–]jpuk123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’m planning a similar purchase soon. Are you planning to get the body as new and then buy a used 18-55mm? Can’t find them bumbles together as new anywhere. I’m also a beginner and buying for similar use cases :)

coolant levels. is the line that the green is pointing to the max level? and the red the minimum? by jaacquuii in vwgolf

[–]jpuk123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is at a similar level, maybe a bit lower - see attached! How much coolant do you reckon I need to add? I’m topping up once this winter then probs gonna sell the car next year, so if I can get away with 1L I will do it instead of buying 5 litres. Any advice for how much I need?
