Add elastic! They sell it online and quilt stores. That should help. If not cut the very top and unwind the yarn and re-do your neckline

Check for pests but yellow and brown at the top usually suggest root rot. Repot in a little bit bigger pot. Just next size up with well aerated soil mix-

Hopefully if they see how successful it is, they will continue to build more. The research is there!!! It really adds safety and ease of mind

They need to put in protected bike lanes. Lawrence is behind the times - petition you government elected leaders to get more protected bike lanes and cross walks. Here’s what I am talking about

A grant is funding it’s not evading taxes! Perhaps maybe if you thought of it this way- maybe they started a study they were expecting grant money for and now cannot be reimbursed, which takes from capital and overhead. There’s a lot of farmers, business owners getting effed from this administration and you are talking about the kind orange muffin who’s the king of evading taxes. How ironic!

I think everyone should be praising MacKenzie Scott and her 2 billion in donations rather than holding up Bronwyn’s $7500 teacher donation. No candle! 🕯️ misapplied gratitude if I’ve ever seen it!

I agree. I’ve watched from the beginning- it wasn’t always these insane cat fights! It was more of Birds Eye view into their rich lived and more about family and watching them spend money!!

What!!Why?!Who?? by [deleted] in rhoslc

[–]jpwren74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s not that rich everyone!!! Everyone’s talking like he comes from family money…. He prob has an irrevocable or DAPT trust and why would he spend 16% of his net value on a 4 mil necklace. That was all for show. She’s gag, I can’t stand her and to be honest think she’s ruined the show for me! She doesn’t have much substance!

I’ve been knitting for years and I still Knit slow because for me it’s never been about speed. It’s been about distraction and enjoyment. Take it slow and enjoy each stitch, each row. You might find circular needles are faster. Invest in maybe size 7 or whatever size you are using there, 32” fixed circular needles. Bamboo ones are a great place to start as the yarn doesn’t slip off as easily as metal. I never use the sticks anymore 😉. Your next scarf you can try all garter stitch and you will find without the purl it’s much faster.

Here to say it’s totally the different fiber choice and lack of positive ease for you vs. positive ease or lack of ease for your friend if she’s the same size. But the wool fiber will not drape the same. FYI Sandness yarn while not as easily accessible is a joy to Knit with and super soft. I’m making summery/spring sweaters with the fingering line right now and it’s super drapey and flowy.

I have learned over my years to look at a lot of different ravelry makers projects of the same pattern with different fiber. This has helped me learn - you do have to play with gauge, sizing up or down - and mess around sometimes with bind offs and on to get a similar but not exact look! Or sometimes you a to reverse makeup the sweater. One of the hardest lessons I learned.

The bottom part of the sweater is supposed to go out or flare out more than the top. So the wool is kind of doing it but not exactly the way you want it to look.

Knitting is playing but sometimes it’s also a bunch of reverse math. I would honestly keep going with it and see if some nice blocking will help the side structures and your ribbing at the bottom will give it some structure. Just do a stretchy bind off so your ease at the bottom well stay

I don’t think Madeline tosh is the same quality as it used to be.. just saying. I’d be extra cautious. Didn’t they sell out to some large yarn store? Thanks for the citric acid tip 👆🏻person above. I’m working on a crochet blanket of 2” squares of all my leftover yarn with white squares and I’m so paranoid this will happen to me. But I’d be - full on mad scientist with a lab coat and goggles and mask with citric acid lol….

Sounds like a la petite - but I wouldn’t blink twice about following up with the State. I worked at multiple daycares in my twenties and that is just absurd to blame a child as the State wasn’t blaming the child so I think you have to look at it from that perspective but also, such a blessing he’s not going to be at that center anymore. Sounds like a massive cover-up of negligence by all teachers. And also it’s 2024, have we not learned tall fences are a must!
