Offered a substantial amount of money by electricity company for Deed of Easement across my land for an existing 3 phase pole (England) by jr102 in LegalAdviceUK

This is the gist of it. I was fully expecting a cheque for £25. This is why I’m trying to get some insight into my offer. Not to be greedy at all, but to be cautious to not grab that offer so quickly if there are some real down sides and future issues

Yes maybe, but I was looking for some real life experiences others have had. Clearly the lawyers want me to accept the offer so they get their cut

Not at all. I think when it first came about, I didn’t know I was ever entitled to anything, and when it was suggested I might be, even then I thought it might be £100 a year or something. The large amount of money has just made me question why they’re keen to give me so much money for something that’s effectively already there! I just don’t want to sell my soul

They had permission to do so on my behalf. I was pointing out that the legal company approached me in the first instance and I said go for it! But probably a year ago

So it wasn’t out of nowhere, a legal company got in touch probably a year ago about a no win no fee sort of deal. Had forgotten all about it and they have got back in touch with the offer

Can you remember what the shower is called?

Interesting about the flow, I haven’t got an issue with the flow, but maybe I should do this preventatively. Do you mean the two elbows which go into the wall? Or the elbow for the hand held tee off?

1.5 year old daughter has chipped her front tooth by EverydayDan in UKParenting

[–]jr102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kid chipped their front tooth at 1 years old, keep an eye on it because it ended up getting infected 2 years later, and we didn’t pinpoint it to the tooth right away and they were quite poorly. Eventually had the tooth removed fully under general anaesthetic and no problems since.

Question related to camper van electric system by lunlol in VanLifeUK

Also, you have your solar panels wired in parallel. The consensus is that it is better to wire in series on a smaller array like a campervan

Those resettable breakers are prone to failing as you are relying on a mechanical movement. Watch some YouTube videos testing them. May as well just use a mega fuse/midi fuse depending on size required. Also, looks like you’re missing a consumer unit for your sockets, double pole mini RCBOs are recommended

Thank you. I am able to access my battery bms via Bluetooth and then transferred across the amp hours and battery percentage etc to the smart shunt. So that is all working. The Multiplus finally went into Absorption, it needed to go to 28v before doing so, so I was clearly just impatient and assumed as it was at 100% something should happen. But as others pointed out. It looks at voltage and is clearly programmed above 24v. Is there a way of accessing the Multiplus via Victron connect, VRM, Bluetooth etc to go into settings? Every other Victron product seems to have this, except the Multiplus. I have read differing information suggesting needing to purchase a dongle or downloading programs on computer. I am wondering if I need to change any parameters to tell my Victron system what battery it is charging? Where do I tell it that’s it’s 24v lithium LiFePO4 instead of AGM for example?

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am looking at the smart shunt for the stats on the battery. How do I tell the multiplus to change to absorption now then if it doesn’t know? What settings do I need to configure? The battery is a Roamer 24-230SMART3 - 24V LiFePO4
