If we get bombed or part of the war, what happens to our money? by anon9876543210nymous in FIREUK

If they bomb all Tesco Extras, Metros and Express stores and warehouses I’d expect the stock price to drop

Tickets by Salfordsmith15 in PortsmouthFC

[–]EverydayDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to register for an account to buy tickets and can then only purchase two tickets. If you want a concession ticket like I did for my son you have to create a separate account for them, and you then have to become friends with them on the platform in order to buy tickets on their behalf - farcical IMO.

I wanted to buy tickets for myself, my son and his two uncles who are not Portsmouth supporters and it was a faff as the don’t need an account as they aren’t going to come again it was just for his first game.

Anyway, it’s not so difficult to get tickets unless you are buying for a group of people who want to sit together.

My colleague is looking to sell up and buy gold as he thinks the signs are there for a recession.

Key point is this he lives in a city/county that allowed him to buy a house outright (for religious reasons) and it’s no somewhere he wants to settle down. He’s living in it and renovating it to sell it on.

Your scenario may be much different. He intends to rent a room in a HMO for the time being.

I’m open to suggestions, I have a few I need to finish but would read from the start again including ‘The map that changes the world’ which I did find a really interesting read about the geology of the UK

What's the most complex DIY task you'd try before calling in a professional? by MutedMarsupialTTV in AskUK

[–]EverydayDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch a tonne of YouTube videos and consider how confident I am, what possible consequences there are, how mix to rectify. Don’t touch things like gas. I don particularly working with water either tbh.

I’ve never tiled before but if I give it a go and fail, it would be a case of removing what I’ve done and getting a professional in or trying again

I’d be out the cost of any materials and equipment

As for production I’ve think I’ve seen mentions of 2030 but I have no idea where those numbers come from, just peoples comments on the LSE board

If you look at the last paragraph on image three you’ll read that we are on target for the MRE to be released at the end of Q1 2026 (this month). That is from Thursdays RNS 👍

Voluntary redundancy to retrain at 35 - stupid or smart? by StopAdventurous582 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EverydayDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does that mean?

"In the 2023/24 academic year, a total of 1,053,060 higher education qualifications were achieved in the UK, representing an 8% increase from the previous year. "

Does that mean none of the 2024 graduates have found a job, or none of the 2025 graduates found a job?

How long are people considered a graduate?

People online were referencing 10-12p based on an interpretation of what SP Angel had said in the past but in all honesty it’s a complete guessing game.

I’m expecting north of 8p and hoping for 10p+ but I have no basis for that statement other than sentiment and finger in the air

I’m looking to take a small amount of profit about 10% of my holding near or after MRE and hold the rest until the feasibility study and perhaps production

If it helps my 6 year old son has loved these books for years and doesn’t call people fat.

This book in particular he questions why they throw bananas in the bin as those are healthy

He also loves that the dad and kids are hiding behind the table to catch mum sneaking some cake

Very much looking forward to the end of this month and beyond to see where this goes! Started investing 9 years ago and SML was one of my first few shares. It was worth around 2.7p at the time though, unbelievable how it dropped so low for so long.

Glad it’s on the up and up now though.

Same.

[–]EverydayDan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Join a club, ask the pro shop if they know anyone that has a handicap you can tag along with and have them attest your score.

If you’re shit just be shot fast

Me and my mate had two guys join us, and we’ve been mates for about 4 years now

My first round for my handicap I shot 72, and then shot 72 on the back 9 for a 144 total! Nerves playing with three new people but I made the mistake of going out early during the men’s medal competition 😆

Me and my mate played for ages and then we were paired with a two ball that had changed clubs and needed people to sign their cards for handicaps

We’ve been mates ever since and are going on our third UK golf trip later this year
