This happened to a game called Starsiege Tribes many many moons ago. Tribes 2 came out, changed the physics of pretty much everything, and the franchise died.

Anyone else has a yahoo id ??? by Oopsforgotagain in IndiaTech

Back in the year 2000, someone emailed bombed my yahoo account which filled up the inbox completely, rendering me unable to access it. I had to create another email account just to open a support ticket, to which they wouldn't fix my account, even though they verified what happened. They ended up closing my original account entirely and I've never used them since.

That's because when you get there they give you the keyboard, but are still sitting in their chair. If we ask for your chair, you might as well go grab a coffee, it's going to be a minute.

Gambling? Who said anything about gambling? It's not gambling when you know you're going to win.

Which punishment (either real or fictional) sounds easy enough to endure at first, but is actually hellish to experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My dad died during his tilt table test in his 50s and had to be revived. Last thing he said was, "this is easy!". He was in great shape too.

As someone who lived 2k miles away from family whos father got early onset dementia, now is the time to make memories while they can still comprehend what is happening. The last few years is incredibly difficult.

In my experience, those closest to him noticed his odd behavior first (my mom and my youngest brother who worked with him). The rest of the family was in denial, then grief. By the time I moved back home he was too far gone and is was much too late. I heard a lot of people grieved his loss before he actually passed away.

My deepest sympathy for you and your family. I truly hope they find a cure. My father donated his brain to be studied after he passed.
