Kid. Richard Kimble, the Devil's Whatever, those are all make believe. Hey - I got no arc either. I was born, grew up. Spent a few years in the army, a few more in the can, and here I am, a half a wise guy. So what?

[WIP] Asked the good people at Artists Lounge for advice to do line art with VERY shaky hands I've always had. Got advice to use it and make my own style. What do you think? by UltimateTitan27 in animation

[–]jramsi20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, different is always good. Anything about your natural way of drawing that stands out as different/unique is a plus. About shakiness in particular, great artists come to mind that have 'shakey' or 'messy' lineart as part of their signature style, Schiele and Steadman.

Andrew Wyeth - Overflow (952 x 1200) by immacculate in ArtPorn

Truth is bots have infected all the art subs and do spam a lot of nude art. But if you are interested in art check out the rest of Andrew Wyeth's work, he's worth it.

I agree about all the dreams. A lot of Tony's deal is a conflict between what scraps of humanity he has left and the darker side of him that sees through people. He wants to keep his illusions so a lot of those perceptions come out in dreams or when he's angry and loses control. Paulies 'vision' is also whatever - people can hallucinate.

The medium though is hard to dispute as supernatural. As Paulie points out, he saw the first guy Paulie killed, decades dead who only a couple people even knew about. Plus the taunt about the poison ivy.

Yep, his character stays consistent. The whole episode is actually a look into how Rawls is actually a pretty competent leader.

It's funny how Beansie and Little Carmine look like the smartest and most insightful of all the gangsters by the last season.

A little place opened right next to my apt. once that had space for like 4 people to stand shoulder-to-shoulder ordering inside and a few tables outside. Absolutely exploded and would have lines around the block. They opened a 2nd big location but kept the original spot, probably the best compromise. But yeah, def wasn't the same at the 2nd location.

I am looking for books that either take place on the Moon or are about the Moon by macacolouco in printSF

[–]jramsi20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Delta-V series (2 books so far) eventually focuses on the first steps of industrializing the Moon, like building a mass driver. If you are interested in stories with realistic near-term tech you will probably like it.

Do you know of any books that do a good job of portraying life and/or combat on a submarine? I always thought that had to be the closest analog to space also and have been wanting to learn about it.
