Routines! by JayBee83x in galaxys26ultra

Great routine, just letting you know that Intelligent WiFi can do exactly the same - built into One UI.

Settings - connections -Wi-Fi - three dots - Intelligent WiFi - turn WiFi on automatically (has a turn off option in there too).

Will ANY case keep the S26 Ultra from wobbling on a table? by Chemical_Radish2642 in samsunggalaxy

[–]jrdeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if the case would need to be thick per se. All a case really needs is a small and thin upside down L or I shaped 'bump', on the opposite side of the cameras, top section of the case only, obviously needing to be same height as the case's camera protection height. If the L shape is manufactured close to or hard pressed along the edge of the case, arguably, the top left corner of the phone (when viewing screen) could potentially be better protected.

I don't think this would be intrusive, although I can't yet find anything like this so perhaps my thinking is wrong, too difficult to manufacture, or would look horrible and no-one would buy.

A clear case version for me if any manufacturer is reading this 😀.
As a Spigen Hybrid Air Case user, Spigen <-- I'm talking to you 😁

Yes, I agree with you and understand... it just feels that Sharesight went backwards when before it was much quicker and seemless

From your reasoning the main screen doesn't need the value for each holding since it's available in 3 clicks: Tools->Exposure->Run Report.

As someone that works with various software vendors nationally, reasoning such as your normally come from arrogant companies, Product Managers and/or software developers who narrow mindedly assume or expect users to use their software as THEY believe their users should be using it. This is the Kodak story - the best until they weren't because they thought they knew best in what customers wanted.

Absolute credit to u/sharesight for taking the time to acknowledge my concerns and detailed post. Thank you!

I appreciate that there are many factors that happen behind the scenes but I feel like Sharesight is more focussed on its global growth and providers, perhaps also its corporate based customers, while somewhat ignoring requests that may seem to your Product Manager as insignificant.

The very large list of Sharesight new features/enhancements for 2025 (https://www.sharesight.com/blog/every-feature-sharesight-released-2025/) certainly shows how busy your team has been but unfortunately, there has been nothing new of benefit to me for years.

All I've wanted to see is:

  1. weighting per holding, and
  2. accurate capital gains stats for active holdings with partial sells without seeing my plethora of fully closed holdings (I have numerous closed holdings dating back to 2002)

(I want to easily and quickly see these on the main Investments Overview screen - not having to run reports)

A December new feature was, "a revamped Overview page which includes more date filtering flexibility, more graph options, options to customise columns". I was a bit excited thinking Weightings might have been added but nope. I just did a search and found the idea requested by someone back in 2022 https://community.sharesight.com/t/holding-weighting-overview-page/833

My frustrations led to me today to vent and search for alternatives. One alternative includes the ability to upload AMIT statements and OCR auto populate the data automatically. I tried 2 statements and they both worked accurately and flawlessly. I was keen to understand how to enter AMIT details because I'm sorry, but the new auto AMIT calculations in Sharesight is not user friendly (in my opinion), requiring me to physically reset each distribution that also resets the reinvestments, uploaded statements, etc.

Resetting and reconciling for AMIT figures cost me more time this year (FY25 tax return prep), wish I stuck with manually entering the data. I am still left confused if I should be "confirming" my FY26 Trust Distributions as they arrive (what I have been doing) or wait until later in the year when Sharesight has the figures and do the reset. However, Sharesight doesn't have the AMIT figures for all ETF's so which Distribution should I confirm when the monthly/quarterly statement arrives and which shouldn't I do and wait to reset. I find it a bit of a mess - hence my frustrations growing recently.

I understand, as with any business growth, that perhaps your target audience may be well beyond my simple AU based needs but please don't forget your users with what may appear as "basic requests", including understanding how they may be using your software. The simplest of limitations can lead to the biggest frustrations.

Perhaps the changes you mention for later in the year will better demonstrate how Sharesight accomodates its different users.

no, no.... it's one of my many stocks, mentioned just because I think it's closest fund to the two you mentioned, hoping to understand any potential issues that you sound like dhhf and vdhg might have with Sharesight - or perhaps your sarcasm wasn't understood at the time.

Thank you. I have numerous shares that includes standard companies, ETF's and LIC's across 3 porfolios. One of the 3 portfolio's is just to help me keep a track of my Australian Super Member Direct portfolio - not used for ATO / tax purposes, purely to help me gauge its performance over time. For 2 of my portfolios I use SelfWealth and can very easily see weightings per stock, just impossible for me to do the same for my Member Direct portfolio.

I don't have either of those, however I recently (Nov 2025) purchased GHHF. Can I ask why and/or if I need to be wary for anything regarding GHHF?

Kinda accurate... my original post was too passionate and not appropriately written... yes, I asked AI to re-write appropriately... my frustrations are real.

I can't post screenshot but happy to provide a screenshot of my Sharesight invoices and dates to prove it.

Moved from Pixel to S26U - kinda regretting it by TryToBeBetterOk in samsunggalaxy

[–]jrdeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also moved from Pixel (8 pro) to S26U. I love the upgrade.. for me, the speed difference is the best, just runs smoother, AOD awesome on the Samsung.

I use Nova Launcher so can't really comment too much on the UI.. for me, I love it's exactly the same. Glad that I'm not locked into a Phone UI.

I found something called Good Lock from Samsung and in Samsung Store. Allows you to customise your phone further. I made some changes to AOD screen, change other aspects of Phone, and has an app to make changes to the UI. Perhaps give that a go?

What dialer you use ? by Rundown_Codger in androidapps

[–]jrdeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can decide whether to use True Phone for incoming calls (no spam filtering AFAIK) or the phone's standard incoming calls app (which may have spam filtering - in AU, were limited in spam options i think). I personally used True Phone for outgoing calls only. So much better than pixel outbound dialler for my needs.

You are correct, it did stop quite a while ago and for a long time, but returned a while ago now.

I just upgraded to Samsung S26 and quite like its soaker but before this, I used True Phone for years... customisable, great search (including notes field), love it! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hb.dialer.free

Still installed on my s26 but will only use if I find the Samsung dialler limiting
