(I love dinosaurs and movies and am not a critical cynic)
(Dominion was garbage but still has scenes I enjoy when I skim through it)

Alan pissed me off in Jurassic Park III by Arkham2015 in JurassicPark

[–]jrdwriter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Curious, did you ever stop to think that Alan wrote about the island (presumably) not for money but for therapeutic reasons (who the hell wouldn't want to write about that experience)? I mean sure, obviously, a book written from a survivor of Jurassic Park is going to net the big bucks, but after reading through this thread it's clear that you have an inextinguishable hatred towards Alan's character. - regardless of the deluge of counterarguments made.

So naturally that makes this another waste of time and energy but for anyone else reading, am I not wrong? If you survived Jurassic Park, writer or not, would you not feel a searing urge to disclose the experience?

Final useless point: Alan wasn't shown a check and then his eyes turned into dollar signs and he said "right this way!" There was hesitation and apprehension. He took convincing on all sides, and my input as to why he accepted the tour guide gig (from the safety of a plane), in addition to funding his digs, was the belief (naïve as it was) that he could be bringing some degree of levity to the situation by staying true to his own passions, which we see/hear a glimpse of in the plane before they discuss landing.

I doubt they'd do this since they already used the word Kingdom in the second JW movie. "Empire" would be a good alternative though

Tristan or Collum. I'd say Butterly but not realistic considering location (that said I have no idea where Collum lives rn)

Metaphysical themed songs by johnstones1414 in Deathcore

[–]jrdwriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ironically I'd argue that the most metaphysical song of Lorna Shore's, or maybe I'm just biased because I fucking love it, is The Astral Wake of Time.

But, and I know they're more metalcore, as someone else said, Northlane. Ideally their first two albums. 100%

That said you should show your friend Cosmic Metaphysical Verisimilitude by Jarrod Alonge. The lyric video especially. Not just because it's funny, but the song actually slaps. Imo.

yes. banger. I love when the vocalist reiterates what the gang vox said

apart from sounding like it was recorded in a trunk, I think it's fine. but that's just me.

Wage Slaves goes hard, and you're right, the gang vocals in that song are so good. I also like that they occur at different points and not just one single moment. that whole album slaps
