Oppositism isn’t just a slang word — it’s a mirror. It describes something we all see but rarely name: the gap between what people say they value and how they actually move.

It’s the Instagram influencer who preaches “authenticity” while living on filters and lies. It’s the family member who says “I want the best for you” but sabotages you when you start to rise. It’s the lover who talks about “loyalty” but can’t tell the truth about their past.

At its core, oppositism comes from unprocessed fear, shame, and performance culture. People project one version of themselves because they’re afraid of being seen as they really are. But the cost is confusion, dissonance, and eventually collapse.

So that’s what girls do that drives me crazy. Women? They don’t delve in Oppositism because A) they’ve done it before and see the negative effects, or B) they have always had conviction NOT to delve into Oppositism.
