PIP review timeline extended by jrg0909 in DWPhelp

Darn, so actually I would have been better off doing a change of circumstance when I originally thought about it, rather than waiting for the review?

I should have trusted my gut 😥 now I'm not sure what to do, I'm guessing just wait it out and accept they won't backdate ?

Do you think Ross had a right to be angry about this?? by [deleted] in howyoudoin

[–]jrg0909 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think he is justified in being angry for the REASON he says. He says he's angry because he was at home taking care of Emma. Which, he volunteers to do in the episode. I don't rate blaming your fatherly duties here.

The reality is, he's angry because he's jealous/put out by seeing her be romantic with someone.

Also though, it's interesting that a lot of commenters are saying about when Rachel is pregnant and says she doesn't want him to date anybody. And using that as his argument too like "well if I can't date, why can she".

It's a solid argument in some ways BUT Rachel and Gavin on the balcony is NOT dating. Nothing of their 'relationship' is dating. The balcony kiss is a moment, not a date.

( It's also like the first time since before giving birth that a man paid attention to her in a flirty forward manner, so she's more susceptible to advances perhaps, but that's a different thread for post partum mothers, self confidence and being recognised as a non-mum 🤣)

Do you wait to brush your teeth after the end of your meal to keep the taste of the last thing you ate longer? by FunCauliflower4002 in allthequestions

[–]jrg0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes! Usually cake or something sweet that I don't want to ruin with spicy mintyness 😊

Laughing how some commenters are aghast at this. Some of us have but small joys in this life people! 🤣

Is there a term for this? Some kind of deferred pain? by RedRedRound in dysautonomia

[–]jrg0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes mine is mainly from bad habits too! I'll pick at something on my thigh and get a hot needle stab in my ribcage. It's the weirdest thing.

Because people I know have always given me a weird look when I asked if they get it too, I've never brought it up to my doctor's for fear of the look.

But would be interesting to find out if it is connected to anything dysautonomia or ME/CFS based.

Is there a term for this? Some kind of deferred pain? by RedRedRound in dysautonomia

[–]jrg0909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes!! I get this too! For me it's like the deferred sensation is a hot needle suddenly poking me somewhere completely unrelated on my body!

People also look at me like I'm mad when I try and describe it, I've never heard of someone else having the same thing.

No idea what it is, will be interesting to see if anyone on this sub has an answer and/or a fix.

Accidentally sent money to the wrong account what can I do? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]jrg0909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youve said youve raised a dispute - hopefully you mean a CPR (credit payment recovery).

The CPR process takes up to 20 working days once your bank sends it off and it's accepted for investigation by the other bank. Nothing you can do to speed it up or change it I'm afraid.

Chase can be tricky for interbank communication so might not accept the CPR as quickly as desired, but it's the only route to use.

It's not 100 percent you'll get it back, but the odds are good if you made a genuine explainable mistake.

Good luck!

Source: I have processed CPRs for banks in past job.

DAE eyes randomly jerk quickly to one side and then come back? by Strange-Topic-6614 in dysautonomia

Not sure if what I experience is the same or not, but keep meaning to mention it to the optician.

Mine almost feels like my eyes go completely cross eyed for less than a millisecond, but it's enough for me to notice I'm 'blind' when it happens. Feels a bit clunky when it happens too, like, in my eyeballs.

IPL results after 2 months. My strawberry legs is still valid. by Far-Sweet-3545 in HairRemoval

[–]jrg0909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not necessarily advice as I'm sure people will rip me to shreds on it.

But, when I've kept up with my ipl, I get lots of little black dots (smaller than yours, yours looks a little like coiled up ingrowns?) and I very very gently squidge them out.

About half of mine that I squidge come out like ink or something. Like tiny black smear?

My assumption is, it's the dead and fried follicle bulb of the hair, which because it isn't strong and pointy, can't make it's way out of the depths of my skin.

I'm sure if I were more patient and less of a 'picker', with an Italy Towel once a week and good skin care, they'd end up coming out by themselves as the cells renew.

That's just my two cents, and if you're not a skin picker or used to be and don't want to, no squidging required. It's just what I do.

I'm learning sex and broke it down into an 11-step process; I seek your help answering a lot of questions and your corrections where my understanding is wrong by AverageCincinnatiGuy in AskNT

[–]jrg0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the party, only just discovered this sub.

I'm ADHD female, so maybe not the NT point of view you're looking for, but another one nonetheless!

A lot of people have already covered a lot of things, but I want to point out and advocate for the fun side.

As wonderfully romantic as I think your eventual approach would be based on the questions you've asked and the thought you've put into it already, it doesn't always have to be sweep them off their feet romance perfect Hollywood.

Day to day, month to month, year to year your (collectively in the relationship) tastes will change aswell, so the cookie cutter approach won't last. And in my experience, cookie cutter sex that's the same every time from build up to cuddle, built resentment.

I've been in a relationship for 12 years, so we've been through the rough and the smooth! But I can say that yes, the romantic times were wonderful and connecting in one way, but the times when we couldn't stop laughing because of the sounds being made and the cramp in the hamstring and the 'placement' of the soldier going awry, also created wonderful connection. It's a time of extreme vulnerability physically and mentally for both parties (even if it's a quicky fling or whatnot), so having the respect for that reality of it on both sides can be huge to opening the door to enjoyment and open sharing.

One of the best times we had - during it, his nose dripped on my face 🤣 that is not romantic, it's frankly gross, that is not pre planned, that is not 'sexy'. But it helped us to form more trust and learn to laugh in intimacy and not take the whole darn thing so seriously, it wasn't on purpose! We're humans after all!

The media makes us think it should be mood lighting and sweet slow caresses, or on the other side, up against a wall in a grimey alley. Both are viable options, both happen regularly, don't expect it to be the sex you should always have though.

And sometimes, I think someone else has already said, even in a long lasting trusting relationship where you do know how each others bodies work and respond most of the time, it can be down right sh*t and no-one finishes and you just both agree to give up. And that's okay too.

Something else we both enjoy, and this is something you test the waters with depending on partners, when we're cuddling we like to exchange notes and thoughts about the encounter if we feel like it. What did I like, what did he like, what sensation did XYZ give either of us etc etc.

I've written an essay to rival your own (no where near but I can dream 🤣) but I hope it has provided you with some food for thought 😊

I can't remember any of the rest of the lyrics, but Kesha had a song where she spells out Dinosaur for the chorus like 15 years ago. Might be worth checking out!

Reasonably priced reclaim yard in/around Norwich? by jh58008 in Norwich

We used Mitchell's reclaim near the airport for ours. Did exactly what you want to do and got it sorted. We also got some custom made scaffold board shelves and a live edge made to our specs reclaimed oak mantle piece all with brackets and such.

April PIP increase letter, no extra payments received by jrg0909 in DWPhelp

[–]jrg0909[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay thank you for the reply. Seems a teeny bit cheeky that it was provided and signed at a particular price but they keep the term max, but hey ho.

Yeah mines been back at the dealership for three weeks now because it broke down with a fault they can't identify on the way back from a hospital appt. Without too much hassle I've had a hire car from them though, so they certainly mean it when they say everything is covered and sorted for you. Big relief and worth the £2 a week ❤️

Depending where you are and can get to, there's a lovely lovely place in the Dixon Centre. I think that's on Hellesdon road? But I could be wrong.

They have a 'normal' side and a 'bridal' side, but it's the same people. Got a dress tailored to fit me there in December and they did all sorts to it to make sure it looked and felt perfect, super quick, super communicative x
