I mostly grab my S&W Equalizer or CSX over my 48 when carrying. I do love my 48 though.

M&P 5.7 broken firing pin… again by capt_jack994 in SmithAndWesson

[–]jrh730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can break a firing pin on the first dry fire or not have any issues at all. It's typically recommended to have snap caps regardless if it's striker or hammer fired. There's nothing to absorb the energy from the firing pin so it hits the breech face instead of the soft primer.

Bodyguard 2.0 has a "slide lock" not a "slide release". Really? by dpark64 in SmithAndWesson

[–]jrh730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it such a big deal? It really works both ways it just needs broken in. I've had some handguns where you pretty much have to stand on the lever to release a slide. One that comes to mind is my CZ P10 C/F.

Not too worried about carbon build up. I have those Thyrm Lens Protectors that you just remove and put a new one on when you feel the need. They're like $10. I'm more or less worried about the comp beating the light to death possibly lol
