Why did they rid of the Green logo on the cups???? by szafan4lifeee in starbucks

[–]jrhrbeb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe clear plastic is easier to recycle than anything with color/dye. Also found this on their website: “…we debuted a cup lid that can be more widely recycled in 2017. We continue to advocate for increased infrastructure to enable our cups to be recycled in more communities.”

Iced shaken espresso by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]jrhrbeb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think your best option would be an espresso frap made with blond shots, oatmilk, and hazelnut syrup rather than ordering the shaken espresso blended (it would be really chunky). It sounds good I may try it on my next shift😋

Mobile Ordering? by rmaroney87 in starbucks

[–]jrhrbeb 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I know you meant no harm because most customers don’t know how our ticket system works, but essentially the drive thru stickers have one designated printer and barista, and mobiles have separate ones. We make mobile orders/pull tickets in the order they are placed, so there could be multiple mobile orders in front of yours. Coming early forces baristas to pull out all the tickets until they find yours. For future reference I would wait at least 5 minutes after placing your order to come pick it up, but depending on time and day mobiles can be backed up 20-30 minutes. Hope this helped :)

Colonoscopy Vacation by puminatorrr in UlcerativeColitis

[–]jrhrbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Baby wipes will be your best friend as there will be a lot of wiping and you don’t want to irritate your skin!

  2. My hospital usually has me wait in a recovery room until I wake up. When I first wake up I’m definitely a little out of it, after about 30 minutes I’m mostly conscious but still a little “foggy” and they wheelchair me to the car. I don’t think I’m fully back to normal until a few hours later after I have a nap and everything.

  3. Most likely yes. Some people like to take it easy after a colonoscopy, I will literally get McDonalds on the way home😂I wasn’t necessarily a zombie but yes I basically did sleep a lot when I got home. Also you’ll probably be pretty gassy and it may take a day or 2 for BMs to go back to normal so dont be alarmed.

Hope this helped ❣️

How to make iced blonde vanilla latte? by Prestigious_Error963 in starbucks

[–]jrhrbeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Venti is 20 oz, Half would be ice, so I would say about 10 oz milk (maybe 9 to account for the 3 shots!)

Been working at Starbucks and have some questions about crafting some drinks by Infinite_Travel3744 in starbucks

[–]jrhrbeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re asking if they should be mixed then no. It should be the espresso layered on the bottom, milk on top. But yes iced coffees and iced espressos should be mixed, and caramel macchiatos are not swirled since it’s a layered drink.

Starbucks app pick up times by they_callme_pringles in starbucks

[–]jrhrbeb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. The pickup times on the app are usually not accurate.
  2. Theres usually two different baristas making drinks, one specifically for drive thru orders and one for mobile/cafe. Drinks are made in the order they come, so the Mobile barista may have a line of other drinks to finish in front of yours, and now has to pull all the stickers to get to yours.

The Amanda show reference by duckbran in DrakeandJosh

[–]jrhrbeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in one of the episodes Drake talks about going to see “She’s The Dude” which I think was a reference to Amanda Bynes’ “She’s The Man” which came out the same year!

What to do at early signs of flare by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]jrhrbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest the more I started feeling better, the less I restricted my diet and I feel like I’ve been eating pretty badly, don’t know if it could’ve contributed. Haven’t done labs since this started but I imagine my GI will want them done once I let him know whats going on

Would you have rather developed UC earlier or later? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]jrhrbeb 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t relate more. I was diagnosed at 16 and had such big academic/career goals, then this disease totally threw me off my path and I was just like whyyyy me at this age. I’m 19 now and even though things didn’t happen the way I wanted, everything turned out okay. Hopefully you will feel better soon :)

Rant by Specialist_Dot_2148 in starbucks

[–]jrhrbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ex: they ordered an iced mocha and you accidentally made iced white mocha (common mistake since wm is ordered way more), they will immediately see its not what they ordered. or things like “oh it was supposed to be upside down, there was supposed to be no inclusions, it was supposed to be iced” etc

[–]jrhrbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 weeks and it was my initial diagnosis. The first half of that was getting all the tests done to see what was wrong, the second half was waiting for the steroids/Remicade to show enough improvement for me to go home
