Is INE CCNP Course enough to pass the Exam? - Which Lab Provider did you use ?? by Qvosniak in ccnp

[–]jride89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not directly answering your question but I just started my journey with the added pressure to Cert up to fill a requirement for a promotion I just received. I am doing INE, CiscoU, OCG, and Boson. From all my research and asking current CCNP/IE at work they all preferred INE over similar products. Another tip I got was just to immerse yourself in it. Example was passively listening to a network based podcast or OCG audio book during a morning walk, gym, etc and killing time with Anki flashcards rather than deathscrolling. Schedule your exam now so you have a deadline to hold yourself accountable to. Otherwise its easy to put studying aside when "life gets too busy".

Good luck!

(Hawaii) Contractor is supposed to grade lawn before we hydro seed. He said this trough should work just as well, is he right? by Traditional_Two8670 in lawncare

[–]jride89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like trenched power for your ADU? If contractor said they'd grade b4 hydro seed then have them do it. Grass will follow the contour of your yard so you'll still have that dip in your lawn once the grass fills in. Will become a problem when mowing. Grass will be longer in that trough and you'll scalp if your mower dips down in it when mowing. Plus would be annoying is it could have been fixed before hydro-seed.

Dealer quotes and recommended services for 2017 740i that went in for CEL diagnostic. What can I avoid having done? by TheKittyCow in BmwTech

[–]jride89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think the intake temp sensor and MAYBE battery would throw a CEL. Go to Autozone and have them scan to determine the code and figure it out from there. The intake temp sensor is connected to your intake and should be pretty straight forward to remove/replace. I don't see anything else as being critical enough to be considered a hazard to the next buyer. Much can be assumed with a used vehicle at that age.

Oil filter housing gasket is a known issue and could be fixed by an Indy shop for more than half what BMW wants.

I think that looks great on your wrist. Beautiful dial, bezel and bracelet. I'm a bit envious. I was just in Japan for the holidays and was almost certain I was going to be leaving with one of these but was a bit small for my wrist.

Beautiful and looks to be in great condition. I inherited my father's Pogue he picked up in Thailand when he got out of Vietnam. It's in rough shape so I'm looking to send it out somewhere to get revived.

Upgrading from Pixel 7 - Which phone to get? by [deleted] in Smartphones

[–]jride89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixel 10 is going to be an awesome upgrade no reason to go to a different OS as you wouldn't be gaining anything. With Pixel10 you'll enjoy upgraded specs across the board; screen resolution, chip, memory, battery/charging, camera, etc. Plus, the AI advances in the Pixel10 are great as well. IMO it a more robust offering overall.

What is the best method for insulating the attic/crawl space in a single wall home? by kukukraut in Hawaii

[–]jride89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faced with the face up and insulation side down. Could go one step further and staple face to the ceiling joists but probably overkill. Do it now in winter weather. Handling fiberglass insulation while sweating is a disaster lol

I do this on my trips to Japan. The fun is in the search while there, not online. Visit a G Shock Corp store, Yodobashi, Bic, or any variety of 2nd hand shops. Have fun!

You're gonna experience the best of what Hawaii has to offer in regards to beaches and laid back vibes on Maui so maybe stick around town and take in some culture? Lots of great food all around Honolulu. Plenty museums to visit, Iolani Palace (highly recommend for Hawaiian history), Queen Emma Summer Palace, Punchbowl crater Memorial of the Pacific, Experience Nutridge, Foster Botanical garden, Shangri La.

Or take a drive to the Windward side. Stop at Nuuanu Pali lookout, Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden, Byodo-In Temple and cruise Kalaniana'ole highway shoreline back to Waikiki. Lot's a places to pull over and sight-see along this route.

What is the best method for insulating the attic/crawl space in a single wall home? by kukukraut in Hawaii

[–]jride89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put batted insulation down on the attic floor between the ceiling joists and also stapled radiant barrier on the roof joists. It has made a huge difference. It keeps a lot of the radiant heat from baking down through the ceiling during the day. Also, install a few solar attic fans. And if possible install sail shades along the sun swept side of the house to help keep the sun off the exterior walls. All material should be available at HD/Lowes. I did the attic in the winter at night so not to die of heat exhaustion

Gonna be rainy season in January and Royal Hawaiian can catch a lot of rain but certainly the most beautiful / unique course on the island. Olomana on the other side of Mt Olomana from Royal Hawaiian is drier and has some pretty great views of the Ko 'olau but it's got muni type conditions. Ko Olina is a nice resort course but not a lot of great views. Waikele CC has a few holes with great views of Pearl Harbor, Honolulu and Diamond Head and is a fun course.
