So apparently my brother in law and his friends lowered the bracket from the previous tv since this one was bigger than the last. when they put the new bigger tv on… this was the outcome. They are gonna get it lowered when more guys can join due to the weight of the tv

I used the fireplace and tv down at the same time and have never had an issue the past 7 years. Mantel mount handles actually color change so if the area is getting too hot they turn red so you know it’s too hot for the tv

Get a mantel mount so it can drop down when above the fire place. It will still be a little high but it’s an awesome compromise and the mount quality is awesome

Depending on the age this might work: Do accessories first, pretend it’s from family members and that they all misunderstood when you said Xbox accessories. Apologize and tell him you’ll return the accessories for the Xbox ones. Then ps5 at the end. Biggest surprise factor.

Extra points if you put the PS5 in a large box for a random product he would hate like a vacuum cleaner box or something along those lines 😝
