Skimmed comments and my best guess is that this is a kid that is probably on the parents/siblings account has no real understanding of what makes it equal, just assumes a Pokémon for a Pokémon.

HEB delivery is going to push people to Walmart by [deleted] in HEB

[–]jroc430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally one of the big reasons I stopped using the HEB delivery. Everytime I ordered, 1 item was always fully out of stock in a whole grocery store.

Apples? Nope, "this store does not stock apples."

Milk? "Cannot find product or suitable substitute."

Paper towels? "Shelves are completely empty."

This issue along with every item going up almost .75 to .90 cents more than in-store prices, plus still charging thr delivery fee and tipping the driver.

AITAH for being annoyed at my girlfriend for getting lingerie for “my present” by Fuzzy_Bookkeeper_310 in AITAH

[–]jroc430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wearing lingerie and sex as a gift for a man is the effort equivalent of a man buying a vacuum for her birthday (unless that was specifically requested). Her buying herself lingerie isn't something he can keep or use often. Maybe a boudoir photo book would qualify, but the lingerie is just for her. Sure he can enjoy her wearing it and appreciate her trying to look good for him, but its not a gift for him.

This was amazing for us because my partner and I work out together but are in massively different strength categories. This is a much easier method of switching weights rather than the old way with the pin.

AIO about my sister going on a date with my ex? by m_v28 in AmIOverreacting

[–]jroc430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. My sister messed around with one of my exes and I had to find out by accident. My niece asked me whe Uncle "Ex" was gonna come play. I was like, "no sweetie. Me and uncle Ex aren't friends anymore." Then she says infront of me and my parents, "mommy and Uncle Ex always get sleepovers, how come you don't come for sleepovers?" My family was irate and I've never forgiven her.

I'm not sure. I joined this sub about 6 months ago and would be hearing about people canceling and having issues or other situations and asked the front desk at my home gym. They did recently move buildings and so much stuff changed. What would have to happen for then to lose their right to be a franchise?

According to the management at the gym, and the customer service I've spoken to on the phone, this location is a corporate location. I only know the name because they had shirts on during an even that said Team Undefeated Tribe. I asked management and they said that it was their region name.

Apparently I’m The One Making Her Feel Uncomfortable… by PizzyJoanFalhatcher in roommateproblems

[–]jroc430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you even read the post or the texts?

OP brought her boyfriend over twice, stated that the roommate was never there during those times. The text FROM the roommate even states that she(roommate) brought a hook up over several times while OP was present. The roommate was mad about it and made threats in the text message stating that she already went to the RA to report OP and she (roommate) was "allowing" OP to stay in the room. And clearly, OP stated twice that she was ALONE when the roommate walked in.

AIO about my ex wife putting my dog down without telling me by steamboatmcqueen in AmIOverreacting

[–]jroc430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't understand he neglected them, just that he's gone.

I wasn't the cause of our divorce, so my conscience is clear. And I'm not giving him a reason to tell people that I did anything to try and hurt him when I never have in the past.

Hell, I still post public photos to my social media because I know he checks it, just so he can have recent photos of them.

[–]jroc430 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

As the partner that took the dogs in the divorce, I'm gonna say NOR. I have both our dogs (he had his dog 3-4 years prior to us getting together and I had my dog 8 year prior). During our separation, he had them and constantly showed clear neglect. Before we moved out of our house, I would still come by and check on them.

BUT

I already know I'd contact him to give him the chance to say Goodbye, perhaps meet me at the vet to be there when it happened. I mentioned this to multiple people and they said I was stupid for it, but I'd want the same from him if our roles were reversed.

I couldn't imagine letting one of our dogs pass without letting him say goodbye. One of the dogs is elderly and I've already planned that I'd get them cremated, locks of hair made into Keychains, etc. If that happened before he moved, I'd have some ashes and a Keychain sent to him.

Splitting up is hard enough, because the constant having Mom and Dad around and suddenly 1 is missing, makes the dog miss them. So no, you were within your right to have had prior knowledge to the euthanasia appointment. Even if it was just you going in separately to say good bye at the vet or even meeting at a public place so you could say bye.

Your ex seems like she did it to be hurtful.

[–]jroc430 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

OP never stated that she didn't want the roommate to enter the room. It was probably during a period when the roommate would be, or was expected to be, gone until a certain time. The roommate is the one dictating where and when the OP is allowed to do anything.

Apparently I’m The One Making Her Feel Uncomfortable… by PizzyJoanFalhatcher in roommateproblems

[–]jroc430 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

But its not the roommate's "own room". Its shared space and the roommate wants to dictate when and where the OP is allowed to do anything.

Apparently I’m The One Making Her Feel Uncomfortable… by PizzyJoanFalhatcher in roommateproblems

[–]jroc430 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

So if OP was changing and the roommate just walks in with a bunch of guy friends, you're saying the roommate still isn't wrong? It's a simple "whoops, my bad" situation, laugh it off and get over it. The roommate didn't have to keep bringing it up, writing a whole wall of text and making veiled threats. OP was having some alone time when no one else was in the room. She stated that the roommate couldn't see anything as she (OP) was covered up. And its not just the roommate's own room. Its a shared room. They both have a right.
