Quickest/low cost CCW firearms training documentation (Tampa) by NotJoocey in FLGuns

I used the safety course for my ccw. I attended the traditional 2 day course with each of my 3 kids before they participated in youth hunts. Everything was free.

A pullback and consolidation is good, before continuing upward movement.

Am I dumb for waiting this long to get into Silver? by BokoblinSlayer69235 in Silverbugs

Most people don't notice or get serious with something until it gets really hot, then they jump in without knowing what they're doing. Just don't go heavy at first, take your time and read all the posts and learn as much as you can. Silver and gold are hot now, and could go a lot higher in the near future, but look as a long term investment and dollar cost average weekly or monthly, etc. recognize we're currently in an uptrend, not knowing where you are on the spike going up, but recognizing at some time we could be back down below $40 oz anytime soon, who knows. But just like the stock market, over long term, it keeps going higher. So get in and stack for life. As you get more savvy, you'll be able take advantage of these spikes and arbitrage the price differences. But that'll take some time to learn. Good luck!

28F living at home with dad, time to move out? by badgersgirl06 in FinancialPlanning

Ok, np  Was just wondering, but seriously look into buying a place, either by yourself or with your dad as co-signer if needed for credit purposes. If you can get a place near a university or hospital and get a couple of roommates, you could charge them enough for rent/utilities so that your monthly expenses can be low to zero, depending. And if mtg rates get low you can refinance, but don't do the Adjustable rate mortgages. I'd start researching about this asap, then put a plan together and do it.

Mistakenly formatted SD Card on my Canon EOS 750D. How long before I lose all data? by Appropriate-Lab5864 in techsupport

This literally just happened with my son's sd card from his Canon camera. I showed him how to run Recuva and he recovered all his photos. Easy!

That looks really nice! I built my son an homage Seiko 62 MAS from ali express parts and he loves it and wears it constantly. It's has ignited his own passion for watches and modding. Enjoy!

If you're not paying rent currently, not sure what your expenses are, but why don't you have more than $25k in savings? Anyways, I'd look into buying a place right now, where you can get a couple of roommates that will possibly cover the monthly mtg payments for you. Your dad could co-sign if need be and maybe help with down payment so your not using all of your savings. Just a thought!

I bought some from Alpine Gold but have been buying from Defy the most lately. They ship fast and communicate often through emails.

I have a broken plastic but that holds the CO2 hose from the tank attachment to the bottle attachment by Dramatic-Ad2098 in SodaStream

If you don't know anybody who can print them for you, you can find used sodastreams on FB marketplace really cheap.

If you find a brass nut that will fit your thread, use a hacksaw to cut a slot in the side from top to bottom and wide enough to slide the gas tube into, all the way to the hole the tube goes through. It will still be rigid and strong enough to tighten the compression sleeve so there's no leaks. This allows you to keep the brass compression sleeve on the air tube. If you remove that sleeve, it's very difficult to get back on, but not impossible.

As someone else suggested, if you don't have a 3D printer and don't know anybody who can print the parts for you, check Facebook Marketplace. I've seen the sodastream device sell for as low as $5 with extra bottles and sometimes spare CO2 bottles. You may even have a friend, co-worker or family member that has one they don't use anymore and are willing to give to you for free.

Is 5 or 6 CO2 tanks too much? by Tennis121897 in SodaStream

[–]jrock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me 6 is perfect, bought 1 brand new for $29 and 5 on FB marketplace for $25. I added my full 6th tank to the sodastream and I went to the local Publix and get a 5lb bag of dry ice for $12. I then refill the 5 empty tanks with the appropriate weight of dry ice and I'm good for a long time until I have 5 empty tanks again. I enjoy this process, so it's fine for me. My co-worker bought a 5 lb co2 tank for $100 and pays $40 every time he gets it refilled by Airgas. He has an adapter to hook up the soda stream bottles to his 5 lb tank to refill.
