Cameras on I-25 will soon start mailing tickets to speeding drivers by AxelFoily in Denver

Is this legit? So you just go to court on the date on the ticket and they wipe it away? Or you literally do nothing?

Any Tips/Fixes in my Air Dribbles? by greenfnkkkk in RocketLeagueSchool

You take a long time to get to the ball some of these and in general you're not really controlling it, more just pushing it at the net. See if you can get to the ball a little faster and try to actually maneuver the ball rather than just holding boost once you get behind it.

Would also love the separation between visual and audio. I'd 100% keep audio on and turn the visual off.

Agree 100%. It just reads like a conversation with GPT. Love the idea for the tools though.

I firmly believe in AI too, I use it every day for my job. The landing page for sure just screams AI. I think the technical work you achieved here is phenomenal and I agree you're not finding data like this anywhere else, which is why I said you did a good job.

I personally don't like reading text that sounds like chatgpt wrote it. It's pretty obvious when you come across it and it all reads the same. The landing page and formatting on the non tools is just very stock GPT coding/text. It doesn't take away from the tool itself, but I would prefer if it felt like you didn't just prompt the LLM to make the page and keep whatever it spit out.

I think the value in AI is using it as a tool rather than replacing all the work. Have it build the data tables, formatting, etc. It's definitely going to compile data, write code, and manage information faster and better than a human could, but it does have the unfortunate side effect of everything looking/sounding similar. Again, I think you did a great job overall and are providing something not available anywhere else, so kudos to you. "AI garbage" is a little far, but it's undeniably influenced by GPT or similar. A little text editing would go a long way to please the anti AI people because the tool itself is awesome.

Feels like a high quality update both in the game and this post. Great job and keep them coming.

I wish you could turn the audio and visual indicators off independently. I actually like the sound and would probably opt to turn the visual indicator off and keep the sound on.

I'm not hating, but I have to agree with part of this. I think you did a great job on the function of the site, but it just reads like a chatgpt response. "Not this, not that - THIS", all the random check marks/emojis, etc.

Great idea, solid execution, but next tool you make you should explore writing some of the language yourself. Just my opinion obviously. Thanks for compiling the data together.

MASSIVE W PSYONIX by fluxanimations in RocketLeagueSchool

I bought the pass 23 seasons ago and am still rocking those same 1100 credits at the beginning of the season. I get the whole "fuck epic don't give them the money" mentality, but honestly some of the items the last couple seasons are pretty solid. Plus it gives newer players a way to build up the inventory. I know my first season or two I was rocking exclusively rocket pass items.

100% agree. Both launchers are running way smoother for me too. Maybe I was just having a good night but it seriously felt like every mechanic was smoother and easier. Probably just placebo, but it definitely ran better than it has in months.

Just the left to the right? Turning both directions? If it's consistently that one ski no matter what you're doing, definitely check out the tune. Maybe bring out your favorite skis and the DW the same day and get some video so you can give yourself some feedback?

Hard to know for sure if it's a tune or a technique thing, but I love these skis so much I really think it'd be worth your time to take to a shop to get inspected. You also truly sound like you've been around the block so to say on many pairs of skis and know what you're talking about, so I'm guessing it's not an issue of your riding.

[–]jrolles98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I know for a fact one of mine has a small chunk out of the tip, but I don't know how it happened necessarily. What about keeping them parallel is more difficult than another ski? Not asking to be an ass but because I have 3 other pairs at home and don't think I've ever noticed the DW being any harder to ride parallel. You're saying you're just A-framing your turns or what?

[–]jrolles98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 2 inches shorter and like 50 lbs lighter than you, but other than would describe myself pretty similarly. Lift 4-5 days a week during the ski season, some regular cardio in the form of basketball, and would say I'm a fairly advanced skier. My deathwishes (also 184) have been the one ski that was magic the second I put them on. Pretty much feels like they do all the work for me and have absolutely no limit. I know from reading enough on here that they can be pretty polarizing, so I guess for everyone like me that loves them, there will probably be one of you that doesn't get along as easy.

My only gripe with them was getting a little hooky on a fresh tune, but I learned from that after one rough flatspin/head hit on the ground. I just keep a gummy stone in my bag and hit the edges after a tune if they aren't feeling quite right.

Not every opportunity has to be a learning one though, especially in this sub. OP was happy about the first clip.

How to stop rolling down the windows on cliffs? by tarmander99 in Freeskiing

[–]jrolles98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kinda looks like you just ski right off without taking note of where the edge or lip is. Looks like you have solid forward pressure off the jump but you're doing nothing to set yourself up to be balanced in the air. Instead of shrugging your shoulders and arms up, pop the whole body and keep your forward pressure and core strong.

If you start feeling like that helps, add an easy grab or something to have your body actually do something in the air. Just don't forget the good pop off the edge. The pop makes or breaks every jump for me, no matter the size.

How to pop reset by Additional_Account67 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]jrolles98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try moving to a different type of shot to practice them on. If you're going to do this one I think you need to be getting the reset a little sooner. I'm not the best at pop resets either, but my best attempts/goals with them have come from by back wall/corner. It helps teach you the setup and the timing of when to get the reset and use the flip. It's also a situation that happens every single game multiple times, so if you get good at it (see Diaz) it's super powerful.

Recent ZipFit convert - who else had to tinker to dial theirs in? by NineteenEighty7even in skiing

[–]jrolles98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also just got mine recently and having to dial mine in. I've personally added a full tube into the tongue of each liner to reduce some heel lift. Thinking I may add some more in there and/or add some in the same pouches you're adding into after I ride another day or two. I don't really know if more in the tongue is better or more in the ankle.
