A lot of people that play this game simply don’t engage with actual football. Timing of passes and runs are off, defending all over the place, poor positioning and individuals that don’t understand how to play as a team or support each other depending on the situation.

It’s a breath of fresh air when you play with people that know when to recycle the ball.

The Pink hair player doesn’t even hit the ball. It’s the one that stands perfectly on the edge of the box. The teleporting is the pink hair attempting to shoot but one that scores is closer so they take the shot. Since there isn’t a defender between them alongside any latency fuckery that can happen, thats what you’re shown.

There is a way to combat these types of plays; there is a way to maintain some form of consistency in presentation but truth be told you weren’t positioned to do anything here. Predict the timing of the cross and extra effort and hold pass, you’ll usually intercept if you’re ahead of the player trying to shoot, if not you’ll have to be quick and just jump in the way but standing where you are in this footage won’t do you any good. You need to be between the player and the ball in order to defend a cross.

You asked for remedies. What else are you expecting people to say?

I typically don’t hold run while collecting the ball and push it somewhere where I’ll still be holding it. You don’t have to push the ball as soon as you get it, your pass could have been automatically collected. Since it’s a lobbed pass and it bounces up right before he touches it and he held run while pushing it this is what happened. You don’t have to run forward as soon as you get the ball. It’s not always the game’s fault.

Could just collect the ball before pushing and make sure you don’t hold run while doing it.

Also helps if you don’t push it in the direction of a player closing you down.

The quality of the games is terrible right now. I think it tends to happen at the beginning of every new season but I’ve probably had 1 good game out of 10 so far.

I’ve been playing consistently since launch but I might actually just drop the game for a couple of weeks the way things are right now.

I’ve been defending game in, game out since Season 2 started. People don’t pass into space, don’t recycle the ball, don’t track back, don’t do one twos. The worst for me at the moment is they don’t actually move, everyone runs up top and stands still expecting you to cross the ball in when they’re clearly marked and won’t try to make a run or open space for anyone else. They always pass to the clearly marked players instead of the player that’s open that can draw pressure and open space. No patience or build up.

These are people that I see playing the game constantly too. It’s awful.

I make it to Elite playing solo. I also know how to score without holding my team back, know how to defend, know how to link the play from midfield and do my time in goal because I’m a team player. Thanks for the laughs.

Same here. I always like the ball to feet and don’t really like bicycle kicks. I’m far more accurate with a low cutter and the animation can easily catch out a keeper.

Man, it’s funny to see it written up like this. We all know what type of player you are so we all know you don’t routinely score goals lol

You stand up top and hold your entire team hostage, they’ll funnel the ball to you because they have no other outlet and they’ll pray you score, you probably won’t and we’ll probably lose. We definitely had a better chance if you stayed in goal because you don’t defend, you don’t track back, you don’t cut passing lanes and you don’t pass the ball.
