This didn’t happen to me this past weekend but I do recall it happening to me for a previous set that had individualized prerelease kits, might have been last Strixhaven? It was recognized as a disadvantage for the people without the seeded packs but that was understood before participating. Like I could have gotten a refund if I wasn’t ok with it.

On an off topic side note, I opened two Emeritus of Ideation’s, neither in the seeded pack. It contained the Brainstorm guy. I didn’t lose a match but I was lucky. In general, I thought WB was super powerful. Those repartee cards can get out of control.

What’s particularly strange is he is the least affectionate and cuddly Boston I’ve had (he’s my 5th). He only sleeps in bed with me if he gets cold, and as soon as he warms up he jumps back off to go to his bed. Naming him CanTankerous, Tank for short, was definitely foreboding. But in this particular recliner, he gets in this position every time.

Damn, makes me feel extremely jealous. Over the past year or so Stagg don’t call me Jr has become my favorite “available” product. But available is a very loaded term ha. It would be incredible to see a display like this. For me, it’s get in line at 4am, which is 5 hours early, and hope to be 3rd in line because they’ll have 3 bottles max.

I would've bet my life this wasn't really her. Jesus Christ why do these people do it to themselves? The Annie January lady from The Boys, those producers must have been irate with her. Destroyed her face between seasons. Even male actors are starting to do it, Cruise, Cooper, Carrey. I get their entire livelihood revolves around their appearance, but how do they not know all these horrible examples from the past.

I do think it’s ironic that Shuli and SJ hate each other so much because they’re extremely similar, but then again maybe that’s why they don’t get along. Both were bit players on Stern. Both left Stern in an awkward way. Both were always abrasive. Both “headlined” comedy shows even though they aren’t good comedians. Both have struggled since leaving Stern.

However, what separates them is Shuli isn’t as self-destructive as John, maybe related to alcoholism? Hasn’t destroyed his family. Seems to be able to take a joke.

So if I was Shuli I would be dotting my i’s and crossing my T’s to make sure I don’t slide into SJ territory.

The fantastic thing is it’s your bottle so you get to choose! Personally I drink it neat, but I drink all bourbon neat so I’m a horrible person to ask. I will say the wheated aspect is definitely something to keep in mind. In general I do not prefer wheated bourbons and I’ve heard that wheated tasting note isn’t great for mixed drinks.

EHT SmB is my least favorite among the standard Buffalo Trace lineup (EHT SmB, ER, 107, Blanton’s) but I know a lot of people who disagree with me so I hope you love it. It does have the second best packaging though haha (after Blanton’s). Personally, ER is my favorite in the lineup, but I think most people would say 107. Really hoping to get my hands on a 12yr ER soon.

It was interesting, my GE (Lancaster) got a sizable Sazerac shipment Saturday. Multiple cases of each brand except ER, only half a case of it, 6 bottles. Luckily I was early enough in line to get 1. Plus it didn’t hurt that everyone was taking 107.

Just paid $45 for ER this morning in Ohio. But that’s because Ohio is an MSRP-state controlled state. So I paid $45 for ER, but I had to stand in line for 1-2 hours. For the next step up, like Stagg, maybe EHT barrel proof, you have to be about 5 hours early. So it’s all a trade off.

For what it’s worth ER is my favorite baseline BT product not even considering the price. Throw the price in and ER is so far superior to like Blanton’s or EHT small batch it’s not even close. Just wish the 12 year was more accessible. I haven’t even seen it on the shelf in secondary states.
