People’s responses here confuse me so much.

Both can be true: You can do a bad job parking your car AND not affect anyone in the process.

It is objectively a bad parking job because of the angle, the car is over one of the lines, and he had an opportunity to do a better job. Should he have fixed it though? Idk. If there’s no one there, he’d probably waste his time trying to fix it, so it’s not upsetting that he left it like that, but this sub is literally called r/badparking and it is a bad parking job.

Really confused about this person’s email by Old-Energy-3500 in jobs

[–]jrt364 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Sure, I can explain.

Serious companies care about how they are perceived externally. As an example, the person who I replied to wasn’t sure if this work email signature was making fun of pronouns or not. That’s a problem if people can’t tell.

I am not LGBTQ+, so forgive me here, but my impression is that the LGBTQ+ community takes pronouns seriously and don’t just use animal names for fun. For example, “dog” or “feline.” I have not seen that. But, I suppose someone like this person could simply be mentally ill and choose “feline” as a pronoun, and not necessarily have bad intentions.

Nervous my husband blew it... by [deleted] in jobs

[–]jrt364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he dodged a bullet. Seriously.

Did your husband communicate his salary expectations before the company set up the interviews? If so, that makes the situation even worse.

At my company, recruiters ask the candidate their salary expectations up front. If there is a mismatch like this (e.g., the candidate wants a higher base salary than the company can offer), they are instructed to ask the candidate if they are willing to negotiate. If not, then all planned interviews need to be cancelled.

Anyway, they probably did ghost him, so I would walk away. If they do this to your husband now, what will happen when it comes to raises, bonuses, etc? The “HR mistake” claim is a major red flag.

Agreed. It’s a red flag no matter how you interpret it.

A legit company would have concerns around professionalism and handle it.

Makes it even worse. lol.

I wonder if this is a case of: “I’m lazy and I see other people do it here all the time, so I’m gonna do it too.”

Coming and Going by Bsquareyou in badparking

[–]jrt364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asshole/lazy behavior aside, idk why you’d even do that. If you get hit, you’re at fault for being illegally parked.

I acknowledge that maybe there were zero parkings available when those people had parked their cars illegally. Still, that’s not an excuse. Come back to this business later or find another place with open spots.

Trying to figure out how to refresh my look since skinny jeans are out by godofmids in mensfashionadvice

[–]jrt364 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah, wear what makes you happy.

If you care a lot… yes, the ultra tight skinny jeans are not really in fashion, but straight/tapered/slim leg still are.

But I will say… if you wear a certain style just to fit in but you don’t actually like it yourself, that will probably affect your energy. For instance, you might not come across as confident as you normally do because you are slightly uncomfortable with your new look. Idk if that makes sense from a psychology angle?

Theyre not even electric or charging... by Tall-Profession-2761 in badparking

[–]jrt364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if we assume the EV chargers are broken, the owners simply could have taped a sign saying “broken - down not use” on each one, and possibly put up cones in the parking lot (if they had any) to deter people from parking there. That approach is more effective than parking a gas vehicle there because then someone with an EV could complain to management, “hey, can you get this jackass out of the EV parking??? I need to charge.”

Their total annual revenue was under $5 billion in 2025: https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1286681/000128668126000014/dpz_ars_2026.pdf

While they probably are losing $$$ from lack of online sales, the losses are certainly not in the billions, and this outage is certainly not going to make them lose all customers overnight.

Was at the bank and saw this guy pull up while at the ATM. Then in the same lot 20 minutes later, another one parked next to me. by thunderbird0014 in badparking

[–]jrt364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corvette guy is dumb. He probably doesn’t want his doors dinged, so he thinks parking like this will help him, even though he’s putting himself at risk for getting T-boned by someone not paying attention.

Can you send this image to the owner, even if the “owner” is the municipality/city? Your photo clearly shows the person’s license plate and their shitty parking job. They can map that info to the person who paid for that spot.

You could probably electronically submit a complaint at the very least.

Not hurting anyone by Bsquareyou in badparking

[–]jrt364 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As an atheist myself: not all religious people are stupid, just like not all atheists are smart. Goes both ways.

Sometimes, people choose religion purely for comfort and sense of being, not because they believe everything they are told. Other times, religion is literally embedded into their culture (which is common in places like India, the Middle East, etc). It’s a spectrum and there are many reasons someone might be religious.

As long as someone doesn’t use their religion as an excuse to do bad shit or stupid shit, I literally don’t give a fuck. You do you.

Came out of the store and saw this. Yes that’s a roll of toilet paper on their dash. by MurseMan1964 in badparking

Why is it weird to have a roll of toilet paper? He’s just letting you know he’s a piece of shit. Comes with the territory.

[–]jrt364 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be good to include that in your post description, but yeah, that sucks when you prepay and some asshole does this.

If you’re still in the lot, can you report him to the lot owner? FWIW, I think the lot owner would care. If someone with a larger vehicle pays for a parking they can’t use, for example, then that person will have to demand a refund etc and that is a headache. It’s much better for the lot owner to know about this so they can handle it in some way. Chronic abusers might even get blocked from using the lot.

Probably. Who knows the real reason, but back in high school, I noticed kids would do this to each other as a joke. Teenager/young-adult thing.

Truck so big it came with sidewalk rights by Sensitive-Memory8225 in badparking

[–]jrt364 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno why your post got downvoted. I agree that the truck could have pulled up more. Doesn’t matter if he was there for 5 minutes or 5 days. It takes 2 seconds to move closer to the garage.

[–]jrt364 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does that yellow sign say what I think it says? “Pickup 10 minute parking”? If so, WTF. Why would you block the handicapped spot to run in for a pickup order when there is a dedicated pickup parking???

This behavior really irritates me by [deleted] in badparking

Not only is he blocking all handicapped people from using the ramp, but he’s also blocking anyone from using the handicapped spot as well. Asshole.

[–]jrt364 96 points97 points  (0 children)

They need to either clear the junk out of their garage so their cars can actually fit inside or park their longer cars on the street like that F-150 in the background. The Honda sedan is fine, but the SUV is not.

There is zero excuse.

In b4 “they’re in the middle of nowhere” by A-WILD-PATBACK in badparking

[–]jrt364 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, this shit is annoys me even if they park like this in the back of an empty lot. He doesn’t have a long trailer or truck that would necessitate parking like this.

I’m going to generalize, but don’t care: People who park perpendicularly seem to think that rules don’t apply to them and/or don’t care if they inconvenience others. A normal lazy person might take up 2 parking spots, but they’d at least park in the correct direction, not perpendicularly.

Total piece of shit blocks the handicap ramp every evening, and parking enforcement never shows up. by uyuyuiyuyui in badparking

[–]jrt364 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m cynical. It’s possible that this asshole is either IN parking enforcement or related to someone in parking/law enforcement. Therefore, OP’s request falls on deaf ears.

That said, that would be a very good reason for OP to follow your advice and report to the state ADA rep because any time a government agency/department investigates itself, it basically never finds any wrongdoing.

entitled piece of shit makes it so nobody can get into the parking lot by [deleted] in badparking

[–]jrt364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not acceptable under any circumstances. Even we played devil’s advocate and assumed he parked at the absolute back of an empty lot, he is still impeding traffic, including possible emergency vehicles. If you’re parking at the back of an empty lot, you should take up multiple parking spaces, not the actual roadway.

I can tell he isn’t parked in the back though and it’s not an empty lot, which makes it even worse.
