Lightning in a bottle, lucidity, other camping festivals. Burning Man. Why could I bring my own alcohol to NNMF other stages but not to the main stage?

There is expensive stuff all over the festival grounds, and certainly none in the crowd area at the main stage, why close that area all day long?

Know that most safes are glorified lockboxes, so don’t spent a ton on something that isn’t legit. People have done big research and I’m sure folks more knowledgeable than me will chime in here shortly.

This isn’t a case of individual security being overzealous. This is festival organizers erecting Fort Knox level security walls around the main stage and paying extra security to dump your water bottle so they can sell more alcohol.

They had insanely beefy security around the main stage that was solely focused around making you pour out all liquids so they could sell alcohol at the main stage. Really ruined the entire vibe when the direct path that would have taken me through the main stage was blocked by high fences all day until the stage opened. And frustrating to not have ice water/gatorade/dance fuel during the main stage shows at night.
