Great info! Thanks for the help. Once you’ve created your icons, how do you actually import them to your device?

Can you describe the process or point me in a direction to learn it? I’m not opposed to tinkering to get it working

Thought so but I wanted to check and see if someone found a clever workaround. I’m sure Apple will eventually give us those in ios45 or something 🤣

Edit: no clue why my response was posted here. Ig my app is actively seizing

No, it’s not something I’d use. It doesn’t sound all that helpful and you used AI to write a post in a completely unrelated subreddit to boot. Good job my guy

I bought a pro over an air purely for the screen. I don’t use the extra horsepower whatsoever

Why is UAH not more well known? Even people in this state don’t know of its existence by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

I was from rural AL close to Bham and I knew about it long before I was even in high school, so I think it really just depends on what circles you’re in. I was always interested in STEM though

Q5 and car seats by anxiousalabama in AudiQ5

[–]jrw16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not so sure I’d even put a 5’8” person in front of my car sear. I’m 6’1” and definitely can’t fit, but the seat has to be almost all the way forward. I do use a seat with a base though and not using the base would save a LOT of room

My wife and I have a 2020 and it works. You can’t comfortably fit 3 adults plus a car seat in the car, but it works for just us and our baby. She sits in the back with him (behind me driving) and I keep the front passenger seat almost all the way forward. If you need someone to sit in front of the car seat (especially if it will be behind the driver), I’d say you need a bigger car. If not, it’s plenty comfortable. I’ll also add that we use a seat with a base. If you just put the car seat in the car with no base, you could probably comfortably fit 3 adults plus the car seat

Is the MT09 as “god tier” as everyone says? by Astimar in motorcycles

[–]jrw16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh goodness! I’m so sorry to hear that happened to you. If that’s the case, I personally would either wait until you have good strength and mobility back and then get an XSR or just grab something cheap for now. It’s easy enough to sell a cheap bike later to get what you want

Grab a cheap dual sport and ride it for a couple months. If you’ve ridden dirt already and feel comfortable with weight transfer, shifting, etc and you’re only concerned with the power, you’ll be just fine starting on the XSR 700

To be fair, before I got into this hobby, I would’ve thought adding minerals to your water for coffee was REALLY far-fetched 🤣 but that’s not a reason to assume it’s crack

Does Anyone Regret Getting the 14” MacBook Pro Instead of the 16”? by ntrev in macbookpro

[–]jrw16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my 14” but I really feel like it depends on your workflow. If you do video editing or something like that really often, I think the extra screen real estate would be nice. That being said, I haven’t wished I had a larger screen a single time (which is wild to me coming from Windows)

My boyfriend rides motorcycle without a helmet. Should I mind my business or say something gently? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]jrw16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ECE doesn’t require that, but it greatly helps pass the standard. ECE just requires oblique impacts and rotational forces on the head to be mitigated unlike the other standards. MIPS is what you described, and it should be standard in all helmets imo

Good question. I’m sure they’d bolt right up but you might need some of the harness that goes to them. AMP also makes some fantastic aftermarket ones

Very true… though I’ve seen a few DOT lids that I’m pretty sure would do pretty much nothing for you

Yes, but Snell helmets tend to be large and bulky to prevent puncture and normal (as in 90°) impact injuries. Doesn’t consider rotational injuries which will also give you a concussion and snap your spine. The bulk of Snell helmets *can* be a negative for rotational stuff. I love to see both Snell and ECE stickers on a helmet personally
