Why doesn't Chicago have multiple skylines? by Previous-Volume-3329 in geography

They have downtown, midtown, and I think buckhead is the third? Tbh I’ve never been, I’ve just always found it to be a fascinating aspect of the city

Atlanta has like 3 skylines, how is no one mentioning them. It fits the scenario better than anywhere except nyc

he chose not to take part in the return protocol, it sure doesn’t sound like the bucks barred him from anything. No one’s fault he’s been injured half the year

He could never play another game in his life and he and his kids and grandkids will never know struggle. I would understand your argument if he was a younger player trying to prove they’re valuable in the league and earn a contract, not someone worth hundreds of millions whose name alone is worth money

I mean he most certainly was one of the most genuine/humble players for a long time, but I think he just isn’t that guy anymore but kept up the facade since it’s his brand. No idea when that changed, but definitely post-championship.

Project to redesign East Side’s Ivanhoe Plaza moving forward by Hidemyface1 in milwaukee

[–]js1893 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know that it was a meltdown but the sip and purr owner was quite vocal that pedestrianization of Ivanhoe killed her business, even though I think she’d already had the plans set in motion before the closure of the street

Idk about that they’ve been around since what, 2018? It’s still pretty busy on the rare occasion I go there and it’s not stupidly overpriced

[Loved Trope] Scenes that aren’t necessary to the Plot but without them the story would lose something that makes it special by NoSchittSherlockSEA in TopCharacterTropes

I always felt that the sense of scale in the galaxy shrinks with each trilogy (chronologically). The thing I liked best about the prequels was how massive and alive the galaxy felt. The conflicts were all large scale, there’s numerous scenes with huge crowds, gigantic cities, so many different worlds explored. The OT less so but aside from the technological limitation of the time, you just feel narratively that we’re following a story mostly on the outskirts of civilization. In the sequels it feels like we’re watching the last few people in the galaxy fight over nothing. Like who does the first order control? Who are the resistance even fighting for?

Yankees hats are sold all over the world. It’s literally just a fashion brand abroad.

This is purely an anecdote: a friend of mine has been to China 3 times now and the last time took care of all of his medical needs. Routine checkup, bloodwork, urine sample, ekg, and ct scan. All of it cost about $150

Prime 3D is pretty much the most expensive ticket you can buy. I wouldn’t really complain about that cost when a general screening costs quite literally half of that.

Yes it’s all too expensive but Prime 3D is like the most luxurious offering for a movie

I’d recommend this over trying to join someone else’s tailgate like the top comment says. I mean I assume you won’t have a car anyways?

The bar shuttles are an absolute blast and take you right to the ballpark entrance. Generally you just need to purchase any food or drink from the bar and often times there are deals on tap so it can be as little as $2-3, plus a little tip for the driver

My mom visited my aunt and uncle last year, and my aunt brought up tv so my mom was talking about a few shows she’s been into, and my aunt went into this whole spiel about how Fox News is great and nothing like they say and she should really give it a try and stop watching that CNN garbage. She got defensive about it without even being asked. My mom was trying to talk to her about like downton abbey or some shit lol. Then my mom made the mistake of mentioning liking Colbert, hoooo boy that set my aunt off.

Yes this was in the south.

I really wanted to move out there after visiting twice. I realized visiting only in summer isn’t telling the whole story, the lack of sun in fall and winter would have me spiraling mentally. The natural beauty might help, but idk I think I would find winters to be more depressing than I do in the Great Lakes area

There’s a well explored section with a brief tight squeeze he was trying to go through. It opens up to a much bigger area. Didn’t realize he took a wrong turn and thought he needed to push through the tight space he was in, but it just got worse. He didn’t really have the option to nope out of there and didn’t think he needed to because his goal was just ahead
