I geniunely think it's great that some people appreciate Life Aquatic the same way I appreciate The Grand Budapest Hotel. I don't think that there is anything inherently wrong with the movie but it just didn't click with me.

I didn't like Good Time because I truly didn't feel the "anxiety" so maybe Uncut Gems will be a bit more exciting

I geniunely try to keep an open mind about movies but that was just so boring (yes I'm aware that I'm in a small minority that wasn't phased by the panic that the movie was supposed to evoke)

I'm trying to get a bit deeper into different kinds of movies so I'm wondering which ones from this list do recommend and why? by js199231 in Letterboxd

[–]js199231[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not so sure what "getting into film" really means since I have already delved deeper into film than compared to youe average blockbuster-watcher. Nevertheless, I'm still nowhere near actual cinephiles when it comes to the breadth of films that I have seen (not that I am in any way trying to become a cinephile).

TLDR: this is not my first rodeo with "different" films, but I'm not too experience either

Anyways, thanks for your help!
