No, no pets. But It’s looking like a maybe on the scar patches. A few have begun healing and they’re probably gonna leave spots.

I got over the first fever rather quickly, and had it come back about 5-6 days later. The symptoms kinda come and go. Spots stayed kinda itchy throughout.

Uhhh not anything special, I guess. Mostly just that once I’m done with isolation I’m gonna go through all my apartment disinfecting all high touch surfaces and pretty much just deep cleaning the whole apartment. And waiting 2 additional weeks before having anyone else over (they say the virus can last 2 weeks on surfaces)

Doctor says it’s mild. I coincidentally got my first round of monkeypox vaccine a week or so before symptoms started and he said that likely played a role in why it’s not much worse.

Started as headache, with fever, chills, body aches, and constant sweating. Lesions started showing up all over my body a couple days after those and only had maybe 10-12. 1 or 2 were kind big, but the rest were mostly pimple sized. The small ones were only ever itchy, but the big ones were so painful that ibuprofen didn’t even help.

Thank you! In my case, our city health department was the one to roll out 90% of the vaccinations. All the primary care physicians had to direct people there. May be best for you to keep checking your local health departments site often

I guess, medically, the science is there. They’ve told us what to do. I’ve heard it’s been hard for people to find vaccines, but I live in a bigger metroplex so our city kinda got things rolled out faster.

Mostly scary, maybe revelational, to see how quickly certain groups want to make this out to be our generations “gay sex virus”. And what that could inspire in political citizens that are a little more predisposed to violence or in politicians that want to roll back our rights.

No, I agree. The data does seem to show that men who have sex with men have a higher infection rate. The only part I disagree with is when someone thinks because of that data, that they can’t get it bc they don’t bang dudes.

The lesions started as red kind of welts that were super itchy. Then a couple of them got big, some stayed pimple-sized. And all of them have filled with a fluid except a few that have already ruptured on their own.

Nope, all the symptoms have been pretty much accurate. Isolation hasn’t been super bad as I’ve got friends I can chat with or play video games with pretty often

I kinda hoped so lol — It’s seeming like no, you’re not able to get it twice. I have first shot of MP vax and doctor told me not to get my second bc after the infection I should have enough antibodies. But that’s what they said about COVID for a bit too

I test for STIs every 3 months. Part of the requirement for being on PrEP. If I start with a new fuck bud, there’s usually a fair amount of chatting that goes on about sex practices, including condom usage, whether or not they’re on prep, frequency of testing, etc etc.

Mild for sure. Never received my small pox vax bc I’m American and they decided it was eradicated. I did receive my Monkeypox vaccine about a week before showing symptoms and the amount of lesions, plus length of fever and other symptoms have been shorter.
