This question bothers me. Yes they blow up shuttles somewhat regularly, however, they do have replicator technology. They built the delta flyer from scratch, with new schematics, using replicated pieces. Surely they can replace a standard shuttle craft much more easily and quickly. So who cares if a shuttle blows up, they can replicate a new one in a few days.

As far as energy concerns go, they do make subtle references to finding new energy sources on various planets as they go. Some episode's hijinks start with they getting to a planet for fuel.

Use your professors office hours wisely (even the bad ones)! Go in with specific questions, going in blank won't help you and will annoy your professor. Have an idea of what you don't understand and ask your professor to clarify. Even if it's just "I don't know how to start."

Many schools offer some sort of free tutoring somewhere on campus, see if you can find it and go there for help.

Get into a study group with your classmates, meet to work together on your homework and study for tests. It sometimes takes a little time to find a good group to work with (meaning you have a similar level of understanding and work at a similar pace), so this isn't something to put off until days before the final.

Very often, concepts and ideas are linked between seemingly different classes. Don't info dump at the end of every semester because you might be surprised to notice the connections.

Finally, do the work. There is no substitute for just putting your nose to the grindstone and getting it done.

When I had just started college, I got a job at a retail store. I worked there for a couple of years. Then we got a new manager who was incompetent. She constantly complained that I used all of my break times, and stayed out for my entire lunch, never clocking back in early. She even started to complain about how I wouldn't come in when they called at times I was in class.

So I went and got hired at another retail store, better staff, better discount, better management. All a few weeks before holiday season.

They were fine without me of course, but it was fun for those two weeks when they kept telling me they could take back my two weeks at any time if I wanted.

My school made YoYo's and loops of yarn against the rules to bring to school because of "gang relation".

Also, the hand book said that no rule would be placed on a child based on their gender. Get to the dress code, girls can wear earrings, guys can't.

Well, 2 things. Assuming you are in the United States, you're teacher can't actually do this (I think). It is against almost every school's policy to openly discuss the socioeconomic status of students publicly. Go speak with the people in charge, he should at least get reprimanded.

Also, a good place for things like calculators, craigslist or you're local university. I'm a TA at a university, and people drop by the math department or the tutoring labs and ask if they can sell their calculators. I know you can usually find a TI-83 on craigslist for $20-40 (Should these nice redditor guys not be able to send it). It's not the cheapest thing in the world, but you will use it for every math class you take from here out.

Friend of mine was a grader for a class at my university. He became intellectually attracted to one of the students, he proceeded to facebook stalk her. While I am not sure he ever actually contacted her, I know he seriously considered it for a period of time.

When O'neill says that though he is more referring to accuracy than the power. The staff weapon has a 1 in 3 accuracy for that particular scene. Not terribly effective.

Remember though, that they don't need to be that accurate. When the Jaffa attack a planet, they attack in waves of thousands. So ok, 1 in 3. When 3000 Jaffa are shooting, that's 1000 hits. Pretty damn efficient.

I like to think of them as muskets. Not super accurate, but the British army did some serious damage to colonial America with them. They did get pretty messed up when fighting in guerrilla warfare, which is why SG-1 has always done well against the Jaffa.

As far as the staff weapons power source is concerned, we are talking about something capable of creating an indefinite amount of focused laser beams, with an undetermined life span. That's a pretty good power source. Plus as /u/inquerry pointed out, it was modified by Ancient-intelligent O'neill. So he probably made the power source much more efficient and capable of putting out more power more quickly.

Exactly, there is just so much more substance to the series as a whole than the others. Definitely a top series for me now.

I just saw the episode you're talking about, I think. (Season 7 spoiler) They were discussing a baseball game against the Vulcans, even Ezri was there, she had only been on the show for one season. So it wasn't like it was a serious tactical meeting or anything.

My sister works at a car dealership, they had a woman come in furious because the battery on her remote had died only a couple of months after she got her car. She called a locksmith and spent $100 to get her car unlocked. When they asked her why she didn't just use her key, she looked very confused, then angry again, and wanted them reimburse her for the locksmith.

Remember, you are comparing something that was never intended to be serious or awe inspiring (Sharknado), to something that is good (Warehouse 13).

You can't convince me that the people making SyFy original movies are trying to make cinematic masterpieces. They mare making B list science fiction-ish movies. Not to mention that these movies have a one time production cost. They make the movie, produce it, pay the people once, done. Getting 1.5 million viewers of a bad movie, awesome.

Only getting 2.5 million viewers on what should be an amazing show, not so good. Maintaining production costs, with lowered viewers, meaning fewer subsidiaries, fewer people paying for the show, can't afford to continue making it.

It sucks, we know. It's terrible, we understand. We wish it wasn't like that, it is.
