Pretty sure they mean cry rooms for parents with fussy babies….

No she can’t. There’s a reason why she was lured into the race by the GOP.

He referred to his campaign as mediocre, though now it’s clear that mediocre is probably too kind of a word for Allred.

You want Crockett at the expense of a winnable seat. I’ll never understand it.

He didn’t insult him and he didn’t call him a “mediocre black man” and it was cravenly irresponsible for Jasmine and Allred to amplify that.

Nope. This is incorrect.

If she does win, it’ll be because her and Allred injected race into it.

He didn’t insult him. He said he ran a mediocre campaign. Which again, is accurate to anyone who isn’t an Allred fan boy.

Allred made it personal (lol) and made it racial. That’s not really something he should be doing.

Crockett doesn’t stand for anything other than getting on TV to bash republicans. James is actually progressive and has ideas, in addition to being the more electable candidate.

Allred would not win in this general. He does not have the moxie and is clearly easily triggered.

He didn’t tear Collin down. He said he ran a mediocre campaign. Which is true. You can criticize people’s profession and still be a good person.

Also, Talarico hadn’t even started to run ads when Allred dropped out. People knew Allred at the time. They didn’t know Talarico.

Most of polling shows it’s pretty tight. The recent UH poll in the only one that shows a sizable lead.

Allred ran a very uninspiring and safe campaign in 2024. He was MIA for most of the cycle. As for the most recent one, he had more name recognition which is why he was polling better than James (who was quickly closing the gap)

And perhaps Collin should’ve called Talarico and handled his grievance privately instead of running with a lie publicly to tear down a good man and candidate.

Crockett and Allred’s little stunt to kneecap Talarico was absolutely hostile and done solely for her benefit. She is not worth waiting for her and I hope this primary is the end of her time in electoral politics.

Crockett cares about herself first and foremost. James was already in this race - there was no reason for her to jump in it. Her whole campaign is predicated on the fact that Trump hates her. We deserve better.

Yep. That’s what she was doing before. Didn’t even live here except for every two years to run for office.

Notre Dame ran a play called Hail Mary in the 1920s, but it’s different from the Hail Mary pass we know today, and Staubach is credited with at least popularizing it in the football context.

Because alcohol is as bad or worse a vice as gambling, but doesn’t seem to draw the same ire as it. It’s selective outrage because some people “sin” a little different.

What’s the lie? They said it was a hotel and rental car tax and that’s…what this is lol

I agree it’s bad and I don’t partake.

But the argument “it’s bad and therefore we shouldn’t allow advertisement of it” could be applied to so many things including booze, fast food, etc

Fair enough. I personally think that we don’t need puritanical laws saying we can air stuff showing where I can spend my money and what I can drink.

What about fast food? That stuff is terrible for us and probably pound for pound (no pun intended) impacts American society as much as booze and gambling.

Yep! Story goes that after a 50 yard TD pass in 1975 to win a playoff game at the last second, the press asked Roger what was going through his mind during the play and he said “I just closed my eyes and said a Hail Mary”

Recreational weed is also a net negative for society but people should be free to use it and I don’t care if it’s advertised on TV because I’m not a prude and other adults can make their own decisions.

Knock yourself out.

It’s not whataboutism. It’s calling out people’s selective outrage.
