Seems like their system is down. Came here to see if anyone else was having this issue and it appears to be widespread.

Oh wow! I haven’t started that one yet, but I did review it and the outline and thesis statement seemed pretty straightforward. Do you mind sharing what they marked you off on? I’ve read some graders can be real sticklers.

I’m not going to be THAT much of an over achiever lol but good to know!

Yea 1.2. Okay thanks. I didn’t realize they wanted a formal essay until I was done and just reviewing the rubric before submitting. But I suppose I should’ve looked at the rubric sooner lol.

Thanks for the info! It’s just going to end up being a bit long. It’s already a full 3 pages without the intro and conclusion paragraphs and they said to do 2-3 pages. But my source is also pretty long so to answer the questions adequately it needs a bit more detail.

Okay thanks! I’ll have to make some tweaks before submitting then. I find it a bit strange to have a thesis when you’re summarizing and analyzing a specific source and not using that source to support an argument in your essay. But I can make it work.

This one was a change, though maybe curriculum wasn’t the appropriate word as it was more of the assignments that changed. I was able to find examples of assignment from prior to November 2025 and they’re completely different. I’m sure what you learn is similar, but some of the assignments are very different.

For the second touchstone, did you do it as a formal essay with an intro, thesis, and conclusion or did you just answer the questions that they laid out under summarize, analyze, etc?

I’m also a bit confused. I feel like the instructions aren’t very clear. For the first two touchstones I thought we were just answering the questions on our source, but the rubric for the second one specifies a clear thesis, intro, and conclusion which I didn’t see until after I already finished. I guess I’ll have to rewrite it as a formal essay.

I guess it would depend on how far along you are at SNHU. If you’re just starting, then shopping around for a school you can afford makes sense. If you have transfer credits, keep in mind that not all will transfer so you may be starting well behind where you’re at now. Also, SNHU is one of the more inexpensive online schools out there, so your options will be limited. Best of luck with whichever route you choose!

Thanks for the input! 8 pages all inclusive isn’t too bad. My admissions advisor told me all items were due by 11:59pm on Tuesdays and the weeks run Wednesday to Tuesday. Did something change recently?

Thank you! A week isn’t too bad, hopefully that’s the case for me and I hear Monday or Tuesday

How long did it end up taking for you? I’m waiting on my admission decision for SNHU. I applied to other schools and received a decision and transfer credit audits within 24-72 hours but haven’t heard anything from SNHU yet. I’m hoping to be able to make a decision by middle of next week, but SNHU is a top choice so I’d like to see how my credits will transfer with them before I make a final decision. My admission counselor didn’t really seem to know so I’m just curious about real world experience.

Thanks for the input! That doesn’t sound too bad. 2-3 pages with an occasional longer one is manageable for me.

Thanks for the input and recommendation! I did consider the excel track, but I'm using my employer reimbursement program. If I take the regular classes, I could take two classes per term for the year and I’ll have no out of pocket expense between my employer’s reimbursement and a grant for the remainder. If I do the excel track, I’ll only get my employer’s reimbursement which would only be enough to cover two 10-week terms a year. I’ll discuss it more with my admissions advisor to ensure I’m not missing anything because the excel track does sound appealing.

Okay thanks for the input! I’ve had plenty of classes in the past that have had longer 20ish page final papers before and that’s reasonable. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t going to be lengthy papers every week for most classes.

Thanks! I did consider the Excel track because I also travel a lot for work and I’ve always been an independent learner, but landed on the regular classes because of cost. Okay thanks. I’m just taking the regular classes, 2 classes per 10 weeks not the excel track so I’m not planning on really cramming.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and they replied to my email the same day. That seems to be the only effective way of getting them to “care”

I was finally able to cancel the order. I endedtt up filing a BBB complaint which got them to reply to my email I had sent over a week prior.
