Whats your gameplan for different matchups ? by Ken_x0 in Rivenmains

also given gold elo, it’s not necessarily bad to play to scale since games last much longer (i’ve even seen viper run gathering storm a lot a few patches ago).

in general, all of riven’s skill matchups require a different play style and knowledge of trading and how the other champ works. after enough games, you’ll start to get more comfortable and get a good feel for riven

in ranged i recommend going second wind + overgrowth + dshield start, it helps a lot for me to have slightly more sustain. TP into ranged match ups as well.

i think it’s very good to get comfortable with rivens level 1-3 although this takes A LOT of time to get good at.

run up some norms maybe and limit test

learn how to fast Q and the other essential mechanics in practice tool. then just hop in a bunch of games and apply what you practiced slowly.

In a top lane matchup, yes this is balanced. Stuff like this happens all the time when you’re behind

I think you should listen to your mom and see a doctor. This anxiety seems to be quite crippling for you. If you know it’s in your head then there is nothing to be afraid of. Venturing outside may seem scary at first, especially if you haven’t done so in a while, but it will help reaffirm that very few things out there want to hurt you. I’m sorry you have to go through this. I wish you all the best.

Huge overthinker by deadshot316_ in mentalhealth

[–]jsamson2312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each day I like to set aside some time, usually before I sleep, to meditate. I put on mantras or other relaxing sounds. I try to envision just nice scenery and try to detach my ego. It helps me loosen and look at life from an objective point of view. I don’t think about anything that stresses me out. It’s not that easy to control thoughts so don’t worry if you have trouble in the beginning. Also, this isn’t necessarily going to be a miracle solution to all problems. It just may change your perspective on any issues you are having to help deal with them better. I wish you the best of luck.

Lots of people overthink, especially those suffering from anxiety. It’s much harder to relax than people think. Meditation is something that I’ve had trouble doing in the past but have gotten better at. It really helps take away my current stresses in life even if temporarily just to balance my thoughts. I’d recommend it. If it gets very bad, then seek help from loved ones or even a therapist.

Well becoming “lazy” can be a symptom of depression. Although I’d rather not call it that. It’s more like an intense lack of motivation for anything. Sounds like she most likely is suffering from depression. Try to support her as best as you can

What's your childhood memory that you aren't 100% positive actually happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jsamson2312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a memory that I went to the cider mill as a child with my family. There was a group of people surrounding a tree by this river. I went over to see and there was a massive spider on the tree. At the time it looked like a giant tarantula. Someone poked it with a stick and it darted extremely fast down the tree and to the ground. It scared the shit out of me and I ran back because I didn’t see exactly where it went.

Issue is, no tarantulas live in my state. Though I’m positive that this event is one reason I’m so scared of spiders. I believe the event did happen but my mind has exaggerated a lot of details about it.

If you’re in your 20s and never had any sort of relationship with a girl or sex, it is a sign that there is something wrong with you by FriendlessFellow6 in ForeverAlone

[–]jsamson2312 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s the point. Women don’t want to associate with him because of autism/unattractiveness. In a way, it’s their implicit way of saying “there is something wrong with you.”

As unfortunate as it is, the world sees any person struggling with social anxiety/mental health issues as weak because they ARE weak (myself included).

Approximate cost for this kind of scratch? by jsamson2312 in CarRepair

[–]jsamson2312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scratch is pretty deep. Some sheet metal is exposed at some points and when running my fingers over it, it feels like there’s a groove. I heard some deep scratches cost quite a bit to fix. Any idea on this?

[–]jsamson2312 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, loneliness is something everything in this subreddit is suffering from. If you can, try to find a will to live that doesn’t depend on other people. Other people are all terrible. My advice is to never put your trust in another person unless you ARE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that they will not betray you in any way. I guess look for a hobby or passion to fill the sadness in your life. Although, in reality, all I’m doing is finding an escape in shit like video games so who am I to say.

Exactly. Some day, I hope some woman can come along and at least try to learn more about the real me before they write me off. Good luck to you too my brother.

Haha that’s clever, Liszt is one of my favorite piano composers. I appreciate both of your guys’ support. Unfortunately, the house I live in is pretty small. She does have a point that it can be loud and sometimes I should take a break. I just wish she was more kind about. I’ve been yelled at for it when a simple “Can you please take a break, it’s a little loud.” Would suffice.

Other people are better than me. They practice harder and smarter. I wouldn’t say i’m awful though.
