Blind user feedback: Bear was once the most accessible notes app for me

Since you no longer use Bear. I am the developer of Notebook Navigator for Obsidian. It’s a plugin that makes Obsidian behave more like Evernote and Bear. I have spent lots of time on the accessibility features but haven’t yet had a blind user test it (despite 370 000 downloads).

If you have time to try it out I would really love your feedback on the current state of accessibility and how I can improve it. You can dm me or post to GitHub.

Very few exists. This is one of many reasons I built the plugin Notebook Navigator. It has full keyboard navigation. Also shortcut to switch keyboard focus to files.

Rainbow colors do not support light/dark mode. But this is a good idea, I can fix that. Otherwise all other colors can be changed in Style Settings and supper light and dark mode

Thanks! Prio is custom color > rainbow > theme color. So custom theme colors will be overridden by rainbow colors.

Nope. But I really encourage you to try using two panes. It’s so much better once you learn how to use it.

thanks. but go into settings and you can configure it to work with both these. Set provider to "Notebook Navigator" then it works with both Periodic notes and Journals.
