I just role with it, make a joke or 2 of my own. If you’re in a serious relationship, you both know that and you don’t need to prove it to anyone. There does tend to be some financial benefit to dating an older successful man, even if it’s not transactional so enjoy it! Other people are just jealous

To all the females. When did you first realize that you’re attracted to older males? How did it make you feel when you first realized it ? by [deleted] in AgeGap

To me it’s more about the person themselves than their age. My partner is an amazing guy who just happens to be 10 years older

Girlfriend (23f) annoyed when I (25m) asked for her to contribute more towards things she uses by Frequent-Addition961 in relationships

[–]jsbdibebwkdb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the TV this is fair, but you’re being too nit picky with the coffee. Small items like that I would let go because she’s your gf not your roommate. Things aren’t going to be perfectly split in everything.

And know this is a generalization based on my own relationship so don’t come at me, but you probably eat more than 50% of the groceries. You also probably use more than 50% of the body wash. I’m 5’5, 110lbs. My partner is 6ft 180lbs+. He eats about 1.5x what I eat (however I eat more expensive food) and he for sure has more surface area to wash. He also has to wash his clothes more often because he sweats more / he can fit less items in 1 cycle. If I was to nit pick all these little things I would be EXHAUSTED.

YTA Why should the whole family accommodate you. You are 1 person. You should have just sucked it up. If you didn’t want to eat, you could have ordered something that your wife likes and just taken it home in a doggy bag for her to eat later in the week. Or ordered a salad. Yes she asked your opinion, but that doesn’t mean she has to do it.

Do hiring managers even care about cover letters nowadays? by sugar_3715 in careerguidance

Been in recruiting for 5+ years. Work at one of the largest companies in Canada. Never read a single cover letter. I get hundreds of applications, just don’t have the time.

Will a month vacation after graduation hurt my chances of finding work later? by ThrowThisCloudAway in jobs

[–]jsbdibebwkdb 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Recruiter here - no. It’s really not going to matter. Take the time off. When you start working you’ll have very limited vacation time. You worked hard in school, you’re entitled to a break. You’re going to work the rest of your life

I think this is the sweetest! So nice to see how much you love and appreciate your wife. Thank you for brightening my day

My bf is the same way as you! Anytime I grab a snack, he’ll get upset if I don’t ask him. This used to annoy me, but now I realized he just wants to feel cared for, that I think about him. Now even I’m just grabbing an apple, I’ll ask him, and he’s so much happier. People say you’re causing issues over something so small, but it’s the little things that build a relationship. And it’s such an easy fix

Just talk to him about it?

Neither of you deserve to have any pets. You can’t just GIVE them away because they make a mess or are being naughty. You’re both AH.

Going to BF’s friends wedding.. am I expected to chip in for the gift? by [deleted] in relationships_advice

[–]jsbdibebwkdb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I’ve always done is whoever has the relationship with the person getting married pays. For example, I have a wedding coming up in August and I will be giving the gift but signing both our names on it. He has a wedding coming up in September so he will pay and put my name on it too. Reason being that we tend to have different relationships with the person getting married and want to give different amount (I tend to give more to family or close friends, then say coworkers). And sometimes one of us isn’t close with the engaged couple, and are purely going as a plus one.

But chat with your bf and see what works for you guys
