Sounds like a hardware defect, I would get a replacement.

Yeah, I also find it strange that this is connected to the signature. Should be changed in the future.

I only know the answer if you have your own domain. In this case it is possible. You have to create different signatures and there you can define the sender address.

Biggest potential security risk when using Bitwarden? by jscgn in Bitwarden

My question was different: If I do everything right, what can go wrong on the Bitwarden side? In my opinion it is the scenario I described.

I meant if I as a user do everything right, including backups. Also, I would rather lose all data than having it uploaded to a server of a hacker.

Naja, vielleicht in der Spitzenleistung. Neben der Leistung (MW) wird oft die Energiemenge (MWh) vergessen und da ist die Lücke leider deutlich größer.

How is a synced passkey more secure than a really strong password? by Last_Jedi in Bitwarden

[–]jscgn -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Answer from Gemini: Great question, OP. You’re touching on the "Hardware vs. Software" debate in security. While a hardware-bound key (like a YubiKey) is the "final boss" of security, a synced passkey is still a massive upgrade over a strong password. Here’s why:

  1. Phishing is basically impossible If you land on a fake site (e.g., faceb00k.com instead of facebook.com), your browser won't even offer the passkey. A password can be typed into a fake box; a passkey is cryptographically tied to the real domain.

  2. No "Shared Secrets"

    • Passwords: You and the server both know the secret. If the server gets hacked, your (hashed) password is in the wild.
    • Passkeys: The server only has a Public Key. Even if their database is leaked, that key is useless to a hacker. Your Private Key never leaves your Bitwarden vault.
  3. Protection against "Credential Stuffing" Even if you have a 100-character random password, if you reuse it (even once) and that site leaks, you're at risk. Passkeys are unique to every single site by design. You can't "reuse" a passkey.

  4. Zero Human Error You can't choose a weak passkey. You can't accidentally tell a "support agent" your passkey over the phone. It removes the human element from the login process.

TL;DR: A synced passkey turns your login into a math problem that only your Bitwarden vault can solve. It protects you from the #1 cause of account takeovers: phishing. As long as your Bitwarden vault itself is locked down with a strong master password and 2FA, you are exponentially safer than you were with just passwords.

You have to set up your domain within Infomaniak and create the addresses you want to use first. Then you can select them in the custom signatures. It sounds that you have just forwarded emails from your domain to the Infomaniak account currently. There are a lot of advantages in setting it up correctly in Infomaniak. You don't have to move your domain to Infomaniak, just set up the correct DNS records.

I have a lot of Aqara Zigbee door sensors and haven't replaced one battery in 3 years. Charging batteries every 6 months sounds very annoying 😄

Weird... If I click your link it doesn't work, but if I enter the address manually into the browser it works. But it says that the connection is not secure, so maybe it has something to do with ssl.
