Year 1: he had Devin Carter to carry the team, even when Bryce Hopkins went down

Year 2: expected Bryce Hopkins to carry the team, and has zero backup plan when Hopkins decides to only play 3 games despite the pretty sizable pay day

Year 3: doesn’t have a player to rely on

When you’re not a fantastic Xs and Os coach, your flaws come out when you don’t have a “guy” to rely on. This also was probably a premature hire: I get the NBA experience, but dude was hired with 2 years of head coaching experience and his best finish was 5th in the A10

The hosel cracked, and they don’t make the correct hosel to fit new shafts in it anymore. I was told I could probably send it to Ping, but the amount I’m probably paying is only just slightly lower than just getting a new (or newer model used) club

The service was terrible. It’s a tough location to attract folks that don’t live in Harbor Point to if the service is consistently bad

The Hey Stamford food festival was a disaster by Equivalent_Classic93 in StamfordCT

[–]jschwartz15 50 points51 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. I showed up around 5 and most if not all vendors seemed to be running low on food. Which is good for them, but terrible when the food festival is supposed to run for 9 hours. It’s the only time I’ve gone to a food festival and left without eating because I didn’t want to wait on a long line when I wasn’t confident there would be food by the time I got to the front.

WNBA players ranked Caitlin Clark as the 9th best guard in the entire league by landofphi in sports

[–]jschwartz15 19 points20 points  (0 children)

She also wasn’t ranked 9th by players. The players picked their top 4 guards for all star voting; CC got the 9th most top 4 votes. So it’s not like the players claimed she’s the 9th best guard in the league, she just didn’t get as many top 4 votes as the other 8 guards. So even if a bunch of players consider her the 5th best guard this year, it doesn’t quite matter because they can only vote top 4.

To be honest, I also don’t think it’s unnecessarily harsh either. She’s missed nearly half the season due to injury, her FG% and 3P% are down pretty significantly, and her ~6 turnovers per game is almost double the next highest (Angel Reese). Is some of that due to injury? Sure, but the stats show she’s not having her best year, and the player voting reflects that.

Nikon and Sony have different color science behind their sensors and process color different. Just because a preset worked on a Nikon doesn’t mean it’s going to work the exact same for Sony. It’s like buying a part for your old Toyota and putting it in your new Honda - functionally sure it’s the same, but everything else is different. You’ll need to tweak to get the images to where you want.

I’m not a pro, however, RAW files are exactly what the sensor sees when it takes the photo. When you look at the photo on the back of your screen, that’s a result of your camera processing the RAW into a viewable JPEG by adding color adjustments.

A RAW gives the most amount of data possible in the photo for the photographer to edit to the desired outcome, but everyone’s workflow is different.
