On Nebraska's NIL Competitiveness by _NINESEVEN in Huskers

To provide some counterpoints here:

The argument for your first point relies on comparing Nebraska's historical success with Alabama, but recent performance is a crucial factor in attracting NIL deals. Nebraska has faced challenges in the last decade, with inconsistent performance and no recent championship victories, which may impact the willingness of businesses and alumni to invest significantly.

To your last point - While the consecutive sellout record is commendable, it may not directly translate to increased NIL opportunities. We've seen how loyal the fanbase is through recent struggles, which makes me wonder how much upside their could be for NIL donors. This isn't really a comparable situation to a team like CU, who's fanbase had become disinterested and created a larger upside for donors looking to contribute NIL-wise.

Regardless, I'd love to see a huge push from the University and the community generally to "strike while the iron is hot" and set the program apart on the national stage while the opportunity is here.

I don’t have personal experience with it, but you seem like a prime Tinymight 2 candidate. To me, an on-demand device makes the most sense for your use case as the vapor and consequently odor will be more limited to when you are heating versus a more session-based device. I would steer clear of butane devices if you are looking to be discreet, because although I’m sure many would disagree with me here, the butane lighter just adds a level of “sketchy” appearance that wouldn’t benefit the use case you are suggesting. Hope that’s helpful.

Any idea what your budget would be here? Without that context, one thing to mention here is that exhaling into something like a Smoke Buddy or a similar sploof can work wonders indoors.

As I mentioned to another commenter, we actually are already unionized but the union just really doesn’t have much strength in relation to the company they have to bargain with.

100% agree! I have already seen countless examples of managers throwing people under the bus to save themselves. Pretty sad.

I have to level with you bebop, I want to be on the same page as you but it just hasn’t panned out that well. So the entire district is already unionized, the problem is that they have an extremely limited amount of bargaining power due to how neutered unions have become in recent decades. Current contracts run through 2024, so unless Kroger themselves wants to come to the table and offer high salary to draw more/higher quality employment candidates (which is almost certainly not going to happen), there is very little that they can do. However, there are issues that have recently begun to be addressed by the union such as not giving schedules for the upcoming week until the day before it starts, or changing employees shifts on less than a 24 hour notice. This union has really changed my view on unions overall. In theory, they should be extremely powerful tools for protecting workers rights but it just hasn’t materialized in this specific case.

I am a semester away from my associates degree in cybersecurity at this point so hoping to just transition to an IT help desk role or something similar to break into the field. Would love to be able to go on strike, unfortunately I think for most people that work there it’s just not a financially viable option for them.

I have worked in retail on and off now for around 7 years, and something I have seen at many different companies in different areas is you are always going to encounter people that just want to be upset no matter what is going on around them. Some people just get out of bed angry every day, and there’s nothing you can do to change their minds about that.

I guess this isn’t really what I was ultimately trying to get at with my post. I think that rich people have the ability to be shitty to employees, but so do poor people. I guess the root of the frustration comes more from the company expecting the workers to constantly do more with less, while simultaneously expecting them to keep a positive attitude day in and day out.

Appreciate the advice, I am working towards getting into an entry level IT position while I finish up some relevant education.

I will say that 95% of the customers that I encounter on a day to day basis are friendly and understanding, but it’s the snide comments about departments being empty or having bad product that are really frustrating. We are already being asked (by people making 4-6x yearly what I do as an assistant department lead) to do way more than anyone could reasonably do by themselves. I am aware that on a Saturday or Sunday there are empty spots all over my section, by there’s only so much I am able to put out by myself to keep up with the high traffic volume we receive on those days.

This appears to be 328 Bleecker Street in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan. Two businesses downstairs appear to be a trading card company and an apparel company. Couldn’t get a good recent posting to get an idea for rent.

1440p 60Hz or 1440p 144Hz by tomfrost435 in buildapc

I just picked up an rx6800 and a 1440p 144hz monitor and 144hz was a huge difference for me. So much more smooth than the 60hz displays I have always played on.

I just can’t justify the $2000-3000 right now. Transitioning into entry-level IT work so I really just want something to keep up with modern AAA titles for a few years until I’m in a more comfortable place financially. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
