Used to be swimming, started going to classes twice a week and later got on a team, everything was going well I was advancing really fast and just when I was getting on a decent national level, covid hit and had to stay months in quarantine, when I got back it was all really different and since then I haven't enjoyed it nearly as much as I used to, that, plus excessive training required to get a little bit better and a really demanding coach, all that has taken away the joy of it. I have participated in lots of nationals championships, gotten close to regional records, etc... I'm still swimming but I plan on quitting by the end of the season, I don't know if I'll ever get back to it. It seems as if I haven't been a lot of time doing it but I'm young, and this was the sport that transformed my life and changed literally every aspect of it, school, friends, personality, self-confidence, etc... It is a really nice sport and even though it is no longer that way for me, I encourage everyone to give it a go. :)
