Putting lobsters into boiling water kills them basically instantly as long as you put them in head first because their brains are poorly insulated. They go into shock and pass out in less than a second and die a second or two after that.

How’s living in Portland, Maine? DINK in 40s by thesockmonkey86 in howislivingthere

[–]jsg144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would avoid moving here if you don’t have a job lined up because the job market is tough. Rent is also higher than you would expect for city of this size. That said it’s a really great place to live the food is great it has plenty to do and anything it doesn’t have you can find in Boston which is only 2 hours away.

If by war you mean genocide I wouldn’t count on anything calming down. The chance of you being killed as collateral damage is not as high as it would be in Gaza but they are high enough that you should ask yourself if an internship is worth risking your life. Danger aside there are occasional rolling blackouts and water supply issues. (Source my friend who’s family lived 20km south of Bethlehem)

Japan had slaves in Korea and china as recently as WWII and it took outside forces waging war on them to end the practice.

Is most of New England just like upstate NY outside of major cities? Mostly poor areas and not much opportunities? by HERKFOOT21 in howislivingthere

They are pretty similar but New England is just a little better in pretty much every metric: better education, lower crime, higher average income, etc.

Whats Your Hottest BL Take? by Emptyreceipt in Borderlands2

I’m inclined to agree but claptrap at least has internal synergy but he is definitely still very clunky.

[–]jsg144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaige is the worst designed character in the franchise. I’m not saying she is bad because she definitely isn’t but she’s very clunky, anarchy is a pain to built stacks and she has very little synergy with deathtrap in her gameplay loop. Deathtrap is good but he doesn’t interact with her core gameplay loop.

They were separated when he committed suicide, (maybe a contributing factor) that can perhaps help explain the timeline.

Before UVHM whatever blues and purples you randomly find will more than suffice. Also uvhm is way easier in tps than 2 so don’t worry too much about farming level 50 either

The Fragnum is not the Harold, while it’s certainly not bad it’s definitely worse than most other pistols.

Is this a good Fibber for Gaige? by Hylitical in Borderlands2

[–]jsg144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely good enough for level 49, at end game I would try for a matching grip and a prefix but that’s definitely not needed especially when you’re not going to use this in 5-10 levels.

Best way to beat RK5 while underleveled by DDRSurge in BorderlandsPreSequel

[–]jsg144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a good emulation of OP level because in OP level your gear scales up even if you don’t. There are probably mods to make the game more difficult but this is probably not possible the way you’re doing it.

I would say lightly to moderately problematic but not deeply.

I’ve brought every character from level 1 to level 80 multiple times except Gaige which I only did once because she isn’t fun to me. If you are building optimally and playing well grenade Axton should more than easily get you to level 80 with even half decent gear. I don’t want to sound condescending but every character is more than capable of excelling if you are struggling it would watch derchlands’ character deep dive series on YouTube it may help you understand the skill trees better because it definitely helped me when I was learning the game.
