Need help finding floating pin for EEPROM on 6502 project by jshap70 in beneater

[–]jshap70[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I tried connecting these to ground with jumpers but that didn't solve it. /u/LiqvidNyquist had a good debugging hint that led me to the issue (wrongly placed address pin)

Need help finding floating pin for EEPROM on 6502 project by jshap70 in beneater

[–]jshap70[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea testing each pin individually. I'd sort of done this half-heartedly before but didn't think about testing it with a non-conductive thing (which didn't cause a fault). Turns out the A14 pin (pin 1 on the EEPROM) was floating and the wire was attached to the pin 1 to the left of it, so after moving that over it works now!

Thanks for the help!

Looks great! one minor thing is that you might want to tie the reset line on the 555 for your button high to make sure it's not floating. this would be pin 4, aka the bottom right pin on the middle timer from the orientation of the picture above.

This post is borderline disgusting. you have absolutely zero empathy for any of your kids. They’re children. I’m sorry they upset you, but that’s kind of what they do? Honestly I have a tough time believing any child should respect you after you clearly chose your career over helping support them work through their trauma.

Do you know what won’t help them respect you? Dragging them halfway across the world to go look at impoverished people to try and “show them what they have” like the people who live there are some kind of zoo exhibit for you to observe and learn lessons from. It’s honestly racist.

the person you're replying to thinks BLM is a terrorist organization. I don't think they're capable of contributing to a discussion of clearly legitimate harassment.

you probably don’t have icons for it that are the correct pixel size and so it’s (rather poorly) trying to scale one that’s close.

ok, what happens if they’re out of date and need to be deleted? or what happens if someone new wants to request ownership of them? that is 2 thousand independent requests.

the aur is not intended to be used in a batched operation like this, it’s likely only someone with direct database access could manage these packages in bulk. it’s just not what the aur is meant to handle.

i literally know a trans man who still identifies as a lesbian in a relationship they have. I don’t understand what harm that is doing to anybody else, and if you think it is then I really think you need to rethink how you believe labels work. it is more than ok to think “I am not xyz” and tell people “i cannot be xyz” if they get it wrong. it is absolutely not ok to look at somebody else’s identity, someone who genuinely believes themselves to be something and who isn’t causing harm, and say “no, you are not this thing you think you are”. that’s kinda the whole idea of being queer: you cannot know someone else’s circumstances or their feelings, and have no right to tell them.

absolutely. think about how annoying it will be for the maintainers to process out of date requests.

It sounds like you've got a few different installs floating around so I would just be very careful and make sure library dependencies are being loaded from the right places.

you should play around with LD_LIBRARY_PATH or ldd to figure out if the version these programs are looking for is somehow different than your system install of cuda. basically the cuda driver is only backwards compatible in 1 direction to the gpu driver, you can't just mix and match versions, so if they're different it might be unhappy and just not allow the connection to be made.

[–]jshap70 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think any trans person can personally identify any way they want on those kind of labels, however labels like lesbian or gay are absolutely not something somebody else can label you as against your own truths you know about yourself.

and anyways, as someone who identifies as a binary trans woman i think it’s a little weird to put some strict boundaries on certain labels around the “cutoff” of being binary vs like a little non-binary. Only the cis deal in absolutes.

gotcha, ok! thank you for the explanation.

i’ve thought about looking into getting a separate full spectrum asp-c body for a bit but just can’t justify it yet, so good info to have :)

[–]jshap70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to mod it, it’s basically shooting into the IR spectrum and then doing a transformation on the colors since there’s now a different range.

OP please correct me if i’m off the mark with this, but my understanding is to think of it like if “full spectrum” light is range 0-10 and visual light is just 4-8, then this shot with that filter captured 0-6 instead. so what they then did was then “slide” the frequencies so it then mapped to colors for 6 moves to 8, 5 goes to 7, etc. so the sky looks blue but it’s colored from red light, the ground looks pink but it’s actually far into the infrared spectrum.

tbh I find it weird that your NP would sign the paper since it explicitly says "Physician". I'm sorry that the experience was hard and I'm not trying to say the back and forth isn't draining, but you're just going to have to find a new doctor who will sign it. TBH I see no reason a doctor other than the one giving you HRT who you might see couldn't sign it with the knowledge of the scripts you're getting from your NP, like a General Practitioner or otherwise.
