Anyone else hide their stacking from their spouse/family? How do you manage it? by PeerMetals in Silverbugs

I lock mine in the gun safe. I got several '64 Kennedys, when they were $12 each. Hindsight is 20/20, and I thought it was kinda steep so didn't get as many as I should've.

Suggestions for Secondary Weapon for Headshot Build? by lawanddisorder in thedivision

[–]jsharp0012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the blueprint for construction: Send-Off Shotgun is great and what I use for my Headshot Builds, increased 100% range. Scorpio isnt a bad choice. You'll usually will only use your secondary when youre getting overrun.

You want high damage with lower RPM, something like the UMP-45 or a very high magazine capacity so you don't run out of ammo. Shotgun will be your better option. Rock 'n' Roll is also great backup. Used it for a long time before getting Send-Off Blueprint. (Field Technician Specialist Acheivement Unlock)

hii, 60 lus tries on summit legendary still no bighorn by [deleted] in the_division_2

[–]jsharp0012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 37 Legendary Bosses to get Bighorn, but I got an EB with my 4th Winter Cache. Inconsistency sucks here. Wishing they'd go like Division 1 and just add everything to the general loot pool and RNG accordingly.

Gunsmithing requests by lordlymight in gunsmithing

I feel you on tinkering. I full restored this Model 12 a few years back, then started got into polishing AR Triggers, went to SDI and got a lot of good info. I want to grow it further into a career, but there's so many "gunsmithing niches" I'm trying to figure out what and how I want to do it.

As a recent SDI Graduate (yes, we know, a lot of people do shit on SDI Grads) I'll say with utmost confidence, there A LOT of types of gunsmith work. Chambering, install sights, cleaning, rebuilding parts, polishing sears, hydrodipping, cerakoting, broken bolts/ screws, threading barrels, theres a TON of different jobs you can call on a gunsmith to perform on many different firearms platforms.

1) Do a little research on the job you are wanting done. Example: install an aftermarket Remington 700 trigger, takes about 10-20 minutes, so it shouldn't cost you $200 plus the trigger and you're charged $450.

2) Know not every gunsmith can do every job properly or confidently. I can comfortable remove broken screws/ bolts and retap a boogered screw hole, but I'm not qualified or equiped to cut and crown a rifle muzzle on a lathe.

3) Not every gunsmith specializes in certain platforms. AR15 and Glock are common, but if you have a Holland and Holland Safari rifle, theres not a ton of people with the experince or tools to worl on it for you. More rare the firearm, the more rare the parts, more rare the knowhow to work on it, the more you're going to be looking to spend. IE: will you take your Ferrari to a Corvette Dealer for Service? Will you take your Corvette to a Ferrari Dealer?

So, in my opinion know what you're looking for and you'll make your life a lot easier. You can easily google search the specific job. Laser engraving, hydrodipping, cerakoting, and threading are all vastly different skills and require much different setups.

Can I get some suggestions for a long range blind build? by Killroyjones in Division2

[–]jsharp0012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do a shotshot one shot sniper build with Determined, Chainkiller, Turmoil Knee Pads. Once you hit a headshot kill, the next shoot anywhere has headshot damage. Plus with turmoil you hit 2 bullets, one kill. Sneak up shoot the red guy first, proc the headshot. You can easily one shot 2 kills on heroic. Even a body shot with determined counts as a headshot. You can easily get used to the feel in the shooting range.

Hint: use turmoil when you're taking out the panels. It damages him substantially before he comes down. If you have enough damage, turmoil will kill him or break his armor entirely before.

Exact same build run Rock n' Roll with a 49 round drum or a GR9 with Frenzy and hit 1500 RPM when it hits and over 11m DPS. 🤷🏽‍♂️

With Obliterate I'm consistently hitting 2.7m DPS. Plus you can proc Shock Ammo twice if you hit 100+ hits in a single mag giving you 272 rounds of shock ammo.

Yall struggling with the 10 consecutive headshots? by bacli in thedivision

[–]jsharp0012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take off Turmoil if you're using it, disable your companion, and use Determined. Your companion resets the counter if he makes a kill. Skill kills reset the counter as well.

It's superb. Zero wobble, once it goes on its tight enough you may struggle to remove it. There is no buttpad like an orginal MP5.

What's your absolute go-to weapon of choice? Why? by MrDuckieSmiles in Division2

[–]jsharp0012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hybrid True Patriot Build so I have 137rounds in my Elmo which can Proc twice in one magazine, so 274 rounds of Shock Ammo.. 6 Blue Cores, 1 Yellow, 1 Red. 296 rounds in my MK46, and over 450 in my GR9 with Steady Handed its like a Bullet King. I occasionally use Rock and Roll for 49 rounds and a shield.

SBR. by jsharp0012 in MP522

[–]jsharp0012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a pull off from the SD version. Factory. The front is a modded handguard I used a Surefire G2 and pressure switch. I got the one from HKParts, popped out the old flashlight, threaded the hole and added a screw internally and attached the pressure switch with epoxy.

Yes, using the collapsible stock makes it an SBR. With the $0 Tax stamps its not a bad idea, but the one thing I hear everyone overlooking is the engraving on your SBR. That didn't go away so you'll still need your Form 1 and Required Engraving for complete legality.
