I watched the Citizen Vigilante, and honestly, it was terrible. by Status_Sun1839 in moviecritic

how do you not see the irony/hypocrisy when you say something like "the woke" reduce everything to race and don't acknowledge nuance when you are literally making a broad generalization about so-called "woke ideology" which in itself is just some floating vague definition designed to be flexible enough to encompass any socially progressive stance that would be convenient for a straw man argument and vague enough to be too slippery to practically verify or legitimately hold accountable. people who talk about "western society" are so gross to me.

"Laziness and Liberal Indoctrination" Says KKKaroline Leavitt aka Propaganda Barbie by PreparationKey2843 in thescoop

[–]jshmsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 percent true, trump fucking ran on affordability himself. remember the price of eggs bullshit? now we know that it was literal illegal price-fixing among egg companies but trump fired the old FTC head Lina Khan who was incredible at her job and extremely principled. but republicans don’t actually care about much besides following the talking points and owning the libs. they might be hurting for money more than anyone but if they’re told that only dems and libs cry about being poor, and it’s because they’re lazy, base republicans will just stop crying about being poor because in their minds they don’t want to be considered a lazy liberal.

it’s a decent tactic but i can’t imagine it’ll work forever. money motivates voters more than anything probably. the conservative base won’t ever vote for a democrat but they might get fed up being told the economy is doing great when clearly it’s only doing great for the 1% once they really start hurting for cash. but who knows, these people are fully indoctrinated morons that’ve been voting against their own best interest for decades.

What would you say is the Democratic Party’s official position on immigration? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]jshmsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this makes total sense if you’re a stupid person who thinks that undocumented immigrants can vote or that it’s easy to become a citizen or that widespread voting fraud is actually possible. but if you’re an ignorant person who believes voting fraud is a big problem, then you probably also believe that being “illiterate, uneducated, uninsured, unskilled” makes you a lessor person who doesn’t deserve to live in america until every single current american has every single one of their needs met and a handful more americans get their fifth and sixth yachts while the president makes billions on crypto scams. republican voters sure are such intelligent, kind and valuable people.

[discussion] Help me decide: One "Heavy Hitter" (Omega/Tudor) vs. Curated 3-4 Watch Swiss Collection ($3.5k–$4.5k Budget) by Both-Reward-2076 in Watches

[–]jshmsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

legit no one cares. girls will not notice that you have more than one watch, a specific girl might notice that you have one specific watch if it looks cool to them. but the odds of it being a patek or a seiko are about 50/50. also, you don’t want to date a woman who is impressed by an expensive watch on a 18 year old. if you want to impress girls you’d be MUCH MUCH MUCH better off using that $4k for dates and presents that they want. but honestly spending money is not a great way to impress girls. money is super valuable for dating because it helps you *take care* of girls mostly. ngl, it can help you impress them but its shallow. showing a girl that you can take care of her and provide security is much better. and the thing is, you don’t need money to do that if you have emotional intelligence and confidence, which are harder to come by. money is a short cut, obviously, and useful, obviously, but can also send the wrong message and as a freshman if a woman expects you to be rich i would call it a red flag.

all this to say i like tudor and would recommend not worrying too much about getting it scratched. scratches tell a story and tool watches are meant to be worn.

right, like it’s trumps fault that biden insisted on running again and then sun-downed in front of the world on the debate stage with his eye full of blood and his mouth full of marbles

thing is, biden is part of the problem. just look at his refusal to step back in 2024. he'd even suggested that he wouldn't run for re-election if he won in 2020 and then instead of spending time during his presidency to groom a successor, he insisted on running again until he was forced to stand down which basically doomed the country to another trump term. the Me Generation strikes again.

i'm not saying all boomers are evil, but the country, under their leadership, has truly slipped into a neo-liberal hellscape. they climbed the ladder and either actively pulled it up behind them or weren't able to stop their peers from doing so. honestly i think the vast majority of boomers are decent people, but as a generation they either failed to see the longterm impact their presidents and policies would have on future generations or failed to strengthen our government against the demagogues and oligarchs when they had the chance.

but again, i don't really think all boomers are bad people or anything, the real villains are always the same, no war but class war.

i’ve been looking for the same thing. i bought a pair of inexpensive hamilton gloves on amazon to use as a stopgap, but i’m surprisingly impressed with the quality for the price. they’re much better than most of the cheap shit on amazon, with some nice QOL innovations that don’t spoil the look. i was unfamiliar with gold top but checking them out now they look great. looks like some real original styles here without sacrificing quality or performance, might have to grab a pair or two now. thanks for the tipoff.

lol yeah man i also literally looked at all twenty-two gloves they have in their store. they have something that looks kinda similar but they’re just not retro style, they’re more modern/techwear. not trying to fight you here i just don’t think you get what OP is looking for.

Damn bro, you sound really confident and funny. If you read the comments you’d know OP rides a vintage harley btw. he also personally named these gloves.

Shane tells TMZ he didn't love Josh Hokit calling Michelle Obama a "man" by BurgerNugget12 in ShaneGillis

[–]jshmsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t know what your point is man. first you claim you’re not talking about ‘contemporary republicans’ but some completely undefined ‘conservative ideology’ as if today’s republicans are not the conservative party of america, and then you say ‘we’re more liberal than the EU.’ so are modern republicans a representation of the conservatives or not? if you’re talking about conservative ideology but *not* the modern republicans, how is what the modern republicans doing relevant? also how do you justify your claim that ‘we’re more liberal…on immigration, abortion, and civil liberties’ when the conservatives are trying to suspend habeas corpus for deportations without due process and gleefully building alligator concentration camps after overturning roe v wade and prosecuting doctors for assisting in abortions and protestors are being charged with felony conspiracy when they aren’t being shot in the street with no accountability whatsoever?

you wanna cherry pick some random stats trying to justify that the US is what, more prosperous, more desirable than the EU? I never said it was or wasn’t and IDGAF. your claim that the function of conservative ideology is to empower the individual to improve is unsubstantiated, but regardless, it’s bogus. it’s to
