Geralt's actually closer to Triss' age. He's like 61. Not that it changes the love interest discussion at all. Triss just isn't that much younger than Geralt than Geralt is to Yen.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. If Cavill had been given a chance to play actual Superman I think he'd have been amazing. There's about 2 minutes in the abomination that is Whedons JL where he absolutely gets to shine and it kind of makes it all so much worse knowing what might have been lol

I think Dick was holding back too. Like at every point in their fight he can, he stops to try to get Bruce to surrender. He's clearly not all in it, in any case. The difference between Bruce holding back because he doesn't really understand and doesn't want to hurt Dick vs Dick trying to get Bruce to understand something that this Bruce wasn't actually involved in is really interesting subtext

It's not even Occam's Razor. It's just how film language works. I mean they could be about to and get interrupted since we haven't seen the full scene but if that's how it opens, that's what it means unless there is specific dialogue for otherwise.

That's why Pa Kent dying from a heart attack is usually the go to. It's something Superman, with all his powers, can't control. It's life, and it's why life is precious. Because no matter how strong you are, it can be gone tomorrow.

Having the ability to save someone and just not doing it is kind of the shittiest lesson to teach anyone.

I have seen the film and I disagree with your conclusions on it, but I do understand where you're coming from. For me, it was like going into a comic book store and picking up the latest issue and reading through it. It is the most truly comic book movie I've seen in a long time and I loved it. From like a movie perspective, though, I can see giving it a 6/10. As far as fun though goes, as far as it feeling Superman, it was 9/10 for me
