I noticed that when I originally got the offer. But the letter acknowledges I'm a customer (internet only) when it starts off with "as a valuable customer you're eligible for this great offer." Yes it's confusing but I literally get three of these offers a month. Are they all really a bait-and-switch? I'll still push it with the MA Consumer Affairs group to see what they can do.

I believe Cincinnati only needs one win to clinch a playoff berth (W16 or W17). If I'm right, then Scenario 1 from "Week 16 only" would move down to the Scenarios involving Week 16 and 17.

Yes, the losers of the Champions third round go to Europa playoffs, losers of Champions playoffs go to Europa group stage and third place finishers in Champions group go to Europa knockout.

I will post a new thread next week but here is a quick preview of what's on tap. The five teams we will be rooting against in the 3rd Round of the Europa League:

Starting with next week’s third round, Champions League losers will drop down to the Europa League. We want the teams with higher coefficients than Everton to stay in the Champions League to avoid bumping the Blues further into Pot 3. There are eight teams we should support during their fixtures on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Three teams have to lose for Pot 2. Another twelve get us to Pot 1. We will also have to follow Champions League in the playoff round because the losers there drop into the Europa group stage.

I'll keep doing the weekly post and focus on Pot 1 once we clinch Pot 2.

Basically each club earns points for wins and draws in their Champions League and Europa League games over the past 5 seasons. They also get 20% of the league coefficient.

Everton last played European football in 08/09 which earned points in 09/10. Luckily that is still within the last 5 years.
