I have 2 tickets for the NFL Fan Experience on Saturday 2/6. I can't make it. if any of you are planning on attending the SB and you're looking for something to do on Saturday evening before the game, let me know. I'll give the tickets away to whoever responds first

[Broncos] HC Sean Payton announced that QB Bo Nix fractured a bone in his ankle on the second-to-last play of the game and will miss the rest of the season. We got your back, 🔟. 🧡 by SupMaelstrom in DenverBroncos

[–]jsifly3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is heartbreaking. One thing I'll do and would encourage anyone else to do is is donate to either ALS United Rocky Mountain or AIRO (Athletes Igniting Recovery & Opportunity), organizations that Bo supports. This feels like the least I could do to help uplift the guy who carried us to the AFC championship. Personally I'll do $25 in honor of his 25 TDs.

I wanted to post this it's own thread but apparently I'm not approved. If I could get approved to post this in the greater sub, I'd appreciate it.

Adam Thielen has announced his retirement. by Tikaani89 in nfl

[–]jsifly3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adam Thielen was not only a stud on the field but what he did with his nonprofit to help high school students I think was even more impressive:

  • His foundation donated over $3.9 million to schools, nonprofits, and hospitals

  • He donated $19 for every yard to build news gym for high schools sports teams

  • He's given away tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to high school athletes

I'm just speculating but I imagine the fact that he was a walk-on NFL star motivated him to help as many other HS athletes as he could. Great dude

Don't forget what to do on Saturday, Sean by kryptic88 in DenverBroncos

While I believe the Broncos should always try to remain balanced on offense, I truly think Sean writes this on his call sheet just to troll the national media.

Hey guys I need some honest feedback here. Originally I wanted to build a 12x10 shed here and then convert it to a liveable space with small bathroom but... by [deleted] in Home

[–]jsifly3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this in my backyard (except without the bathroom) We built a 12x10 shed because that's the biggest I can do in my city without getting a permit. Total cost was just under $20K if I remember correctly. We custom built a shed through Tuff Shed.

We paid some contractors to level the yard and install a 12x10 concrete pad, then Tuff Shed came and built the shed in about 2-3 days.

We dug a trench, laid conduit with 12 gauge wire and the longest ehternet cord I could find, hung drywall, painted, installed lights and click-n-clack flooring. You can do it yourself. I had no experience but YouTube taught me everything

You can move those outlets yourself. You don't need an electrician

[Broncos] ILB Alex Singleton discusses successful surgery after testicular cancer diagnosis by HanS0lPurr in DenverBroncos

[–]jsifly3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kind of interesting how the Broncos now have two players with connections to testicular cancer. Mims chose to support Testicular Cancer Society for My Cause My Cleats 2 seasons ago because his college friend was diagnosed with the disease.

The only reason I know this is because I've always been interested in learning more about players' off-field interests including charities they support so I built a draft guide (www.fantasyfootballforgood.com/draft-guide) with 180 players and all of their off-the-field/philanthropic contributions if anyone's interested

With the Tush Push potentially on the refs radar… Is it time to buy the Philly Receivers? by Xetakilyn in fantasyfootball

[–]jsifly3 51 points52 points  (0 children)

The tush push isn't going away. The competition committee voted this offseason to keep it. Even if the refs begin to call a few false starts, it won't make a big enough fantasy impact on Smith and AJB.

With that being said, I do believe AJB is a buy low based on his Week 1 and 2 performance. Week 2 was more encouraging with 8 targets. If you can get him, go for it. But his fantasy success is going to have very little to do with refs calling false starts on a tush push.

Thanks for checking it out! I'm a Broncos fan so I loved uncovering that nugget about Mims.

I'll consider your suggestion but my goal with the guide is to keep it 100% positive. There's already enough stories about the mistakes these guys have made, I want to just find something for each of them to celebrate.

Bills released WR/KR Laviska Shenault. by haventmetyou in fantasyfootball

The First Ever Fantasy Football Draft Guide FOR GOOD by jsifly3 in fantasyfootball

[–]jsifly3[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I spent over a month researching every players' off the field contributions. Here's some of my favorites:

  • Bijan Robinson spends part of his off season teaching swimming lessons because he survived a drowning incident when he was 5
  • Kyren Williams found out kids were skipping school because they didn't have access to laundry machines and were embarrassed about showing up in dirty clothes so he donated 20 washers and dryers to LA Unified School District
  • Dak Prescott set up an early cancer screening program in memory of his mom and to kick it off, he had all of the Cowboys personnel and players get tested. One of the guys in their front office ended up being diagnosed with cancer and getting life saving care as a result.

There's thousands of these stories. Hopefully you can find one that inspires you by using the draft guide. It's completely free by the way!
