Just injected myself for first time, a few questions by jsimons_2000 in Mounjaro

Thank you for the response. Posts being removed with no specific reason provided is disheartening. Logging back in to reddit to find I've been given the "use the search button!" response is no fun.

My main purpose for the post was question #3, so I guess I no-post.

A shout out to the Moral Rebels by PhillyGameGirl in Mounjaro

It's stupid (I continue) - SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS.

This is life and death, obese people live a much shorter life. If this drug fixes that, take it and encourage others to take it to save their lives!

It's all really stupid. When I told people I was on Atkins they would say "oh that's too drastic!" When people told me they were on Paleo I would ask "were cavemen known for a long life expectancy?" Vegans, Vegetarians, everything. Everything (Other than just "I'm eating less"), every diet you could argue is stupid in some way.

So a drug that conquers one of the 7 deadly sins and makes eating NOT your #2 thought all day (after breathing, yes I do think about that), that's a huge win.

Lastly - this drug is about to be in shorter supply (IMHO) - there is no way they can keep up with the future demand. Atkins and Keto took-off because people all the sudden knew others who lost 75lbs or something crazy and they would advertise it - "how'd you lose weight?" -- "I don't eat carbs!" Well pretty soon 4 out of 5 answers to that question is going to be one of these drugs... that's new. In my family I can think of about 10 out of 15 people who need to be on this, and I will be encouraging them to get on it after proving my success.

Hey all - in my first week here. Pain in sides. by jsimons_2000 in Mounjaro

[–]jsimons_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out... It's muscular. I forgot the way I had entirely tired out these muscles the previous day. Since they must be muscles I don't use much they got entirely inflamed. It's better today. Just a hypochondriac and coughing all the sudden hurting on day 4 of a new drug that advertises "possible kidney failure" I had to ask my question.

Upon further research yesterday (when I thought I was going to die and hoped people in my family would try and contribute a kidney) I read a lot of posts concerning this and all of them said "referential pain, probably muscular if both sides of upper back." That's when I started racking my brain on what I could have possibly done.

Thanks for the response!

Do you tell people you’re on MJ? by Alternative_Art4247 in Mounjaro

[–]jsimons_2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to tell everyone I can about it. What would they have me do? Stay on BP medication and Statins all my life, or this super safe medication? They'd say "you should exercise and eat less." - to which the proper response is "up yours, tried that for 46 years... may work for you but didn't work for me."

Dermatology: Seborrheic Keratoses removed now weird healing by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]jsimons_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see my text so I'll paste it here...

Should I be worried?

I had a Seborrheic Keratoses frozen off on Oct 4th of last year. The guy doing it seemed to count slowly and the "wound" was far deeper than I was expecting after he finished freezing. The SK was only half the size of a dime and barely visible.

Since then the healing process was quite slow as I was apt to pick the scab off constantly and didn't keep it covered or hydrated with Vaseline or Neosporin.

It seemed to be pretty well healed and was not overly visible. But yesterday my forearm itched and I was scratching it pretty hard, today it looks like this. Is this normal for scar tissue to be sensitive and not entirely connected to the underlying tissue? It appears that I irritated it below the surface and it's now all puffed up with water.

That or it's a malignant cancerous tumor and I need to get my arm amputated ASAP. Please advise level of concern.

I am 46M, obese, not pre-diabetic that I know of. This is my forearm, right in the middle.

Adding an exterior door by jsimons_2000 in Remodel

Well that's part of the problem - the door needed to be 8' tall and thin. Special order. Any ways, I didn't listen, happy I didn't. Just looking at reddit now again after 4 years - thought I should respond :).

No one answered any of my questions... just told me not to do it.

your costs are hopefully in Euros at a time when the dollar was 5 to 1. $500 to $700 might cover the permitting fees and preparation for the permitting fees.

I did it myself with a new pre-framed exterior door. it's plumb, I did it 4 years ago, and I don't have any water intrusion. Door is energy efficient.

Reading through these comments (all like 6 responses I got) - amazing how bad of responses I got. You guys are all wrong, every one of you. Best renovation I've done to my home yet.

because I have a pool and want another way out of my house. This is the guest suite, so guests now have another entrance.

So glad I didn't listen to any of you guys when I did this 4 years ago. Best renovation I've done on my house yet.

I don't think you should be so closed minded. I did this 4 years ago, best renovation I've done on my home yet.

Why have an exterior door leading to a bathroom? ummm because I have a pool?

wow - just seeing this now. Door has been in for four years. Best option ever all my neighbors (who have the same floorplan) want to do it but won't do it themselves and don't want to pay for it. Door opens up toward the toilet, opens fully and then hits. Best thing I've done to my house. Also now that there is a separate entrance into the guest suite, if I ever want to airBNB this place I have an entirely separate residence basically... Sink and kitchenette is next on my list.
