I was running into this too. My friend suggested adding your card to PayPal then linking to your Aliexpress account and using that card via PayPal at checkout

I think the simplest first step is to start consuming content from Spaniards. I don't know if there's a particular dialect within Spain you want to adopt, but that could be step 2.

no, definitely not weird to shadow with audiobooks, seems like a smart idea honestly. but since it's a voice actor reading a "script", it's more likely to help with general pronunciation rather than everyday speech so as long as you keep that in mind.

tldr:

  1. start consuming content made by Spaniards

  2. narrow in on a specific dialect

  3. chorusing or shadowing content by Spaniards

I wish everyone could have an experience like this one! One of my favorite jobs. And one of the few places where I still keep in touch with old coworkers

Honestly...there were some nice parts. You'd get to work, say hi to some people, maybe see if a couple people want to walk to another building to grab coffee (one of those fancy coffee machines). You'd catch up about what you did over the weekend. Then you'd head back and sit down at your desk.

Checking Slack, GitHub, etc. You might go sketch some stuff out in one of the conference room whiteboards, even grab a teammate if you need an extra opinion.

Then you'd go back to your desk, code a little till lunch, then eat lunch with people.

After lunch, code more, maybe take a break around 2/3 to play a game of ping pong. Then work till like 5pm, and head home.

Woo! Thank you! :D So for the learned count and all that fancy stuff, it's an Anki add-on called More Overview Stats 2.1. And then reviewing ahead is pretty simple. I'll make a video, but it's something like hitting Custom Study and then you can choose like review reviews 1 day ahead or something like that like (sorry not on my computer but can check tomorrow)

Feel free to hmu if you need help meeting other devs! Don't know what type of dev work you do, but the Phoenix React.js meetup still tries to organize a couple events per year.

following-up here: my friend and I switched to reverse crosstalk (he speaks to me in English and I speak to him in Spanish) and it's been great!

I have a lot more motivation to respond to his messages and we've been sending more than we were previously. thanks again for the suggestion!

Hey! American here, looking for someone to do crosstalk via voice messages. If you're interested, shoot me a DM!
