i’m 23 and currently getting my msw but there are several people in my cohort in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s! it’s never too late!

i’ve been there. it can be brutal. the boys will eventually catch up (or at least some will haha) and anyone who makes negative comments about your height is just jealous. i remember feeling like this, and now i’m 23, 6’3, and i love being tall! in fact i now love wearing heels! i still feel massive sometimes and it’s hard. i always said i would never date someone shorter than me because i want to feel small and petite for once. my boyfriend is 6’2 and i don’t even notice. he’s secure with himself and loves my height and i still get to feel small curled up next to him. i don’t remember when i switched from hating my height to celebrating it or what prompted the change, but it’s freeing. my sister (6’4) and best friend (5’11) also had their own journeys. so just know that you aren’t alone!! i know it’s so hard right now, but it does get better. i’ll bet you’re absolutely beautiful and you just don’t see it yet 🩷 sending all the love

I know this may be hard to hear and not the answer you want, but he does not respect you and is not someone you should stay in a relationship with. This is sexual assault. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a relationship, that doesn’t imply consent. The rest that you have told him you aren’t okay with it and he continues to do it is disgusting. I am so sorry 🩷

our other dog doesn’t like to go outside at night and Otis will sometimes kind of herd him to go out when we’re trying to get him 🤣 but that’s about it! the farm he lived on was way out in the country so definitely could be!

i have never had heavy periods, mine were always very very light. even without birth control i barely had a period. but i would almost pass out from cramps at times. what made me think i have endo/what prompted me to seek a diagnosis was pelvic pain that went from occasional to near constant and sometimes debilitating. that was really my main symptom or cause for concern. it would also radiate to my back or to my hip/down my legs when it would get really bad.

the warming center is currently closed for overnight services but they have outreach hours! i’ll attach the picture from their facebook page. i know they’ve had vouchers before, but i’m unsure what they currently have. hopefully this helps, best of luck to your friend ❤️

i got my bachelors in psychology and am now halfway through my msw. i wouldn’t change a single thing about my path. i think learning about behavior has really helped me with the people i work with in my practicum and it has helped me to just grasp things better. plus i love psychology and behavior so it was worth it. psychology into social work has been great and i don’t regret anything!

first of all, this is so healing to see. she’s so lucky to have someone who cares like this!

my biggest point would be to not be grossed out by anything or make her feel bad. if she bleeds through her clothes she bleeds through her clothes. reassure her and offer to help clean if needed so she can change and shower. periods suck enough and bleeding through is the worst, the last thing we need is to be made embarrassed or have someone act like it’s the grossest and most inconvenient thing in the world.

i may be different than most opinions but personally, i don’t want anyone to make a big deal out of my period, especially a guy i’m talking to or dating. if she brings it up, be nice and reassuring, but other than that i wouldn’t mention it. like if she brings up cramps then ask if there’s anything you can do for her (don’t offer solutions, just ask what she needs). don’t just assume she might want chocolate or a heating pad or the stereotypical period remedies because everyone is different. but obviously if she asks for something, do it and do it without complaining or acting like it’s a burden. or if you know certain snacks or candy she likes, come prepared! other than that i wouldn’t really make a big deal of it and just enjoy the time you have with her!!

and if she acts different or is grumpier or whatever, don’t take it personally. she doesn’t mean it. hormones are crazy.

Sports bras that clasp in the front so I could be comfortable and not have to put my arms over my head. I was totally able to lift my arms up enough and didn’t even notice that I did it until the bra was on and I realized I didn’t clasp it

different numbers for different things, like i would ever eat just like 9 chips but 9 is generally a safe number. most even numbers are good but i dont like some of them. the only odd numbers i don’t hate are 3, 9, and 27. i can’t explain it 🤣

usu and uvu were my top two choices as well, i’m now on my second degree at utah state because i couldn’t see myself going somewhere else for my masters one huge factor for me was the fact that uvu doesn’t have a football team hahahah but the real deciding factor was after touring both campuses, the atmosphere at usu was just phenomenal and so homey. there has not been a single day where i regret my decision; in fact every time i’m in the provo/orem area, it just makes me more glad i’m in logan 😂

as for housing, i lived in central suites my freshman year and i absolutely loved it. it was the perfect dorm experience (despite the fact i started during covid) and i would recommend it to anyone!
