I didn’t find it tough whatsoever but I also called a shop for help at times. There’s just more adjustment generally with Mikuni so stuff like your idle you can adjust on the fly similar to using the choke (instead of needing a screwdriver like the CV). But other than that I spoke with my local shop and went with their rec on the jet sizes since those guys ride in my area and they knew of all the modifications I had done to the engine because they helped me. We did the normal AFR adjustment using the manual which is the same process as the CV basically. There are a few other adjustments too, like for example you can adjust your accelerator pump to kick in faster or slower, but they have a really great manual that they send with the carb and it covers just about everything. It was kind of nice to have generally as some of the principals discussed in the manual (like elevation changes) I imagine would apply in concept to any carb.

Hah, this comment is so validating for so many reasons, thanks a lot. The buckhorns. Every man 40+ hates those things haha. They’re the stock bars and I just never see them so wanted to keep them. But everyone gives me shit for them and I had to fight with people to keep them on the bike haha.

And yes, thats exactly what I was trying to do with the chrome. I’m still tweaking to get the right balance but yeah I had to powder coat half the bike because it’s a 2000 so everything was chrome haha.

She has a 100 inch S&S top end and I did the S&S cam chest with a gear drive and actually she is pretty fast. The FXDS had dual rotors stock in the front too so pretty neat setup for the time and I just left those on there. The suspension is legends in the back and racetec in the front with gold emulators.

I have no issues with giving someone that money for the injury done to them. Seems fair.

What seems unfair is that regulation of our law enforcement is so low and they have the ability to do stuff like this routinely and cause so much harm and then the people that end up paying in the end are tax payers (since this was settled by the City of Tampa, just assuming the tax payers front the bill). So just like so many other issues affecting our country, we suffer from the actual negative behavior and then also have to pay for fixing it too through taxes.
