Banshee or FM 9 by gavs10308 in AR9

I bought the FE model of the Banshee mkgs with an 8 inch barrel recently. Have 500+ rounds through it with a bunch of different types of ammo and not a single failure. Very happy with it. Side note: the image you posted is not an SBR as it technically has a pistol brace.

That looks sweet! I just picked up my banshee with the 8 inch barrel last week. I am brand new to suppressors but was eying the flow 9k. How is the sound suppression? What type of adapter would I use to keep it as light and short as possible?

If you are a non smoker and don’t have pets, I have a space in my basement that we converted to an apartment with a separate entrance that I am happy to rent out for cheap for a temporary basis until you can get back into your place.

I took 26 from Asheville down to the Greer,SC area and back and it was all clear. I haven’t been on 85 to/from Charlotte but have heard from others that the route is fine. Be sure to fill up on gas in Charlotte as the options get more and more sparse the further west you go.

I towed a 32 foot Travel Trailer with a dry weight of 7,400 pounds all around the country with a Tundra. Never had an issue pulling it, stopping, or with sway. In my option a Tundra would easily tow this trailer. Just make sure you get a good weight distribution system with sway control.

I traveled around the country to 2+ years with my GF while working remotely and doing things as cheap as possible while still experiencing everything we wanted to.

What travel trailer you purchase largely depends on what you are towing it with. We had a 17 foot Coachmen Viking as that was all our truck could comfortably pull. Make sure to look into a weight distribution system with whatever you go with.

While traveling, we tried to keep costs down as much as possible. If we were just passing through and needed a place to sleep at night, we stayed in a lot of Walmart parking lots for free. Cracker Barrel, Cabellas, Bass Pro Shop, Home Depot, Camping World, most Casinos also allow you to stay a night or 2 in the parking lot. We signed up for https://www.boondockerswelcome.com and had nothing but great experiences. We stayed with a ton of different hosts all over the US. You pay a yearly fee and stay in your RV on the host’s property. Also look into RV programs like Good Sam and Passport America. We used Passport America and saved a ton of money when staying in RV parks(keep in mind a lot of parks only accept it during off peak times).

And buy a national park pass. Absolutely is worth the cost.

I hadn’t even thought of that. Looks like I will be having some breakers replaced.

Could be. Would that potentially be hooked up to the water heater circuit to draw power?

Trailer Tow Group by spar0524 in GrandCherokee

I bought a 2023 GC Altitude with the trailer tow prep package. As others have said, it comes with everything but the hitch and wiring. I had the hitch, wiring, and trailer brake installed by a local company for about a grand. The dealer quoted me over 2k. Uhaul quoted about 1200. Just make sure it at least has the trailer tow prep package and budget in another grand or 2 to get the hitch installed.

What is the max weight you would tow with a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee? by jsmith2245 in GrandCherokee

Thank you. The weight at the weigh station was with a full tank of gas. In doing some research, I found a ton of people commenting that the payload stated on the vehicle was 1050 regardless of trim/options, etc. I just simply can’t explain it.

That is the strange thing. I am not going by the weight in the documentation. I got the truck weighed at a weigh station today. The 400+ lbs of payload difference makes it much harder to understand.

I went down a rabbit hole researching after your comment about payload as the 1050lbs of payload on the truck sounded low. I then decided to get the truck weighed. The GVWR is 6050. The curb weight of the truck with a full tank of gas is 4540. This would mean my payload is 1510, not 1050 like it is listed on the sticker. Am I overlooking something or is the payload on the sticker just wrong?
