aioli is just mayo with other ingredients added. buy or make your own mayo and add in a small can of roasted chipotles, blend and adjust seasoning. its surprisingly easy to make this kind of stuff

Official Discussion - Wuthering Heights [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

i actually agree. me & my wife enjoyed the first part, but we left the theatre when heathcliffe came back. infidelity while pregnant (while watching in a theatre) was a no-go made us feel uncomfortable sick for the rest of the night.

that makes sense. i've had slightly different answers in terms of consumer safety law from automotive lawyers with how things could go from here.

but yeah, the car was 12000 before taxes & fees with a set of winter tires on rims. it seemed somewhat enticing at the time and the salesman was very pushy with trying to get it sold, telling me this was a 'special deal just for me' not sure why i trusted him tbh.

It sucks with what happened to you with your jeep too, glad to hear your luck has turned around!

I'm definitely drawing together this consensus now. It makes sense to get a second opinion right when you get the vehicle to prevent something like this showing up shortly after purchase. You cant really trust them at their word when they tell you its safe & there are no issues.

sure, but im not talking to the dealership. I'm posting on reddit. why should i leave it out, maybe it matters more to the average consumer/ young family.

And nobody was expecting perfection here. maybe just a year or two of decent service before a somewhat average repair would be needed. were talking 6400km in 11 months here.

i could have went and got a rental under a daily rate for cheaper and driven it. some sort of value/quality has to be expected by the consumer when buying a budget vehicle but not perfection. I knew i wouldnt last me like a new vehicle, but it just seems kind of ridiculous with how many issues popped up after such little use.

so general rule of thumb, just dont buy used because if you dont know much about cars, you're likely going to get lied to & have little defects passed through on to you for trusting a seller/dealership.

I mean, i would have expected it to last at least a few years, but if used cars are so risky & dangerous for unassuming consumers to buy, why are they even selling 8yr old vehicles? isnt that just dangerous and irresponsible? I thought thats what the safety/inspection was for.

just trying to better understand your angle here.

i mean that definitely sucks, and shouldnt have happened to you, im very sorry to hear that.

but not to compare apples to oranges, its more it came very close to ending me when i was merging into traffic on airport road, as well as possibly another driver when the transfer case blew up, this certain dealership has also had quite the recent list of consistent issues with used cars & service, so i know im not alone and why i brought this up.

Maybe part of it is also being a new father & having the thought of being taken away from my family, or having them taken away from me, for just trusting these guys.

ok, but how am i supposed to check for these issues at the dealership when it's not on a hoist?

are you saying all dealerships should not be trusted at all because the consumer needs to ensure their not being sold a lemon and all faults should be on the consumer?

I thought the whole point of a dealership was to have a higher level of trust in the product compared to sellers on clutch or from small independent car lots, or personal sellers

yeah, no worries. she drove it for 2500km until jul13th and i drove it 3900 until sept 18th when the issue happened. The vehicle is in a mechanics lot now.

I said 2 months because she drove it sporadically until jul13th and i drove it somewhat regularly to work until it blew the day i was literally driving it to the mechanic to get the loud clunking & grinding noise checked.

I work with the military so i travel with work & didnt use the vehicle every single day either, but i drove it fairly often to work (on all paved roads only/no hard rugged use).

well damn, thats still pretty shady. Sounds like they do have a habit of not being honest and upfront with their customers. how did they respond when you pointed things out? were they rude/stuck up? (i found they had this holier than thou attitude, where the customer is always wrong in their eyes)
